[ thea is practicing with her katana and for someone of her size and build, she's actually really good at it, clearly using her slightness and speed to her advantage. (atks 23, 24, 20) she is also fighting a stationary dummy which can make anyone look good, tbh.

and then... she over-swings, losing her balance, and hits herself in the shoulder (crit fail), slices open her upper arm (6 dmg). which she doesn't seem to notice as she swings again (atks 23 & 21). ]

[with a whole spot 25, i think it's safe to say he notices her slicing her arm open. and stops what he's doing to check up on her.] Woah, hey, are you okay?

[ another slice (atk 19) before she pauses, breathing heavy, and looks up at dante like ]

What? Yeah, I'm fine.

[ girl. ur bleeding. she's not lying though or trying to act tough, it just doesn't bother her. ]

You're bleeding. [/helpful.]

[ she shrugs, unconcerned, and pushes her hair away from her damp forehead. ]

It'll stop. [ probably. ] It's not that bad.

You getting blood everywhere is still a safety hazard. Why don't we take a trip across the hall to the Light wing?

Blood is gonna happen in the field, might as well get used to it.

[ to be fair, that is a valid point. but she doesn't want to get blood on her converse so she relents. ] Lead on MacDuff.

[buttholy]

Good thing we're not in the field. [he sticks his sword back in its sheath and starts walking in the direction of the infirmary.] And it's Dante.

Beatrice. [ she flashes a quick smile as she follows, still basically ignoring her arm because it's not bothering her and there is no point getting blood on her hands when she can just wait for someone else to do that for her. ]

[just. this face.] Haha, very funny.

Oh come on, at least be impressed I read more than Dante's Inferno. [ she read all three!!! this is deserving of praise!!! she only got a b!!! ]

I'm a little impressed. But I'd be more impressed with your real name. [but his sense motive was really low, so] ... Beatrice isn't really your name, is it?

Thea. [ the following smile is more genuine. ] If you need a guide through Heaven I would probably not be your best bet.

If it ever comes to that, I'll try to find my own way around. [he leads her in to the infirmary, which seems to ... be empty.] Does anyone even work here?

[astrid is sleeping under a counter. sry. she had a gurls night last night and now she's hungover. AT LEAST SHE'S HERE. asleep....]

I told you it's fine. This is fate agreeing with me. [ no matter, she will just grab some gauze and mop it up herself. ]

Do you want me to help? I know how to apply a bandage, at least.

Go for it. [ she holds out the gauze like have at it, yo. it's probably just barely deep enough to need stitches, but she's not going to wake up astrid when she was the one saying she didn't need medical attention in the first place. ]

[buttholy]

[he winces now that the blood is cleaned up and he can get a good look at it.] This is pretty deep. [his treat injury roll for bandaging the wound was acceptable (14) so, you know. he's not a miracle worker but he's probably not making it worse, either.] You should come back later, when someone's here. [yeah he didn't notice astrid curled up in a sleepytime cocoon his spot check was too low.] You might need stitches.

[ she catches the wince, but doesn't fidget or wince at all on her part. champion patient. thanks dad. ]

Steri-strips and glue will work fine.

I don't know if I should — I might end up making it worse.

Don't worry, you don't have to do it yourself. It needs to stop bleeding first anyway. [ she flicks a gauze pad at him. ] Are you otherwise satisfied with my condition?

[buttholy]

[he just lets the gauze pad bounce off him. oh no, gauze.] Uh, yeah. You can go back, if you want. Or do whatever else you want to do.

I'm gonna go back, I wasn't finished. [ so she starts to do just that, adding over her shoulder, ] You're welcome to follow, Dante.

[ beatrice jokes forever. ]

[child. child.] It's where I was going, anyway.

[ so off they go back to the training room where thea just settles herself in front of her dummy again so she can murder it some more, taking a moment to compose herself so she doesn't, you know, chop her arm off next time. ]
