The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ confident as a peacock and actually literally looking mindbogglingly flawless, lila graces lorne with a rare, genuine smile. she'd toss her hair, but her freshly chopped bob is only chin length and not much for the tossing anymore.

although her chin does tip up with pride, revealing the hint of pink highlights in her hair, as her free hand (not holding her bright pink drink) lifts and aimlessly drags her fingers against the thick keloid scar that slices across the pale skin of her throat, notably grey. ]

That is sort of my thing. You... somehow actually make yellow look good. [ it isn't the best compliment, but coming off lila's silver tongue, it manages to be the most complimentary as if only lorne can pull yellow off successfully (charm 65) ]

[Lorne spots the scar but tactfully doesn't let his gaze linger, offering her a bright and genuine smile instead-- he knows he kills it in yellow. Bright colors work for him; he wouldn't be caught dead in a plain black suit at this point, not now that he knows what he can get away with thanks to the garden hue and equally bright personality.]
