WHAT || If you specified that you wanted to play out the initial interaction with Natasha, this is what is happening in the first part of this log. The second part of the log is the actual dates!

There will be a thread starter (edit: here now! ) for the initial interaction with Natasha (I'd rather multi-thread this than have it single thread, for the sake of my sanity). Jesse, however, is the guy to talk to about starters for the dates with Steve.

WHERE || In and around the castle, with Natasha. For Steve, anywhere the date is happening.
WHEN || Natasha and Steve talked again at the April after party, so we can say this is ... May/June? I can adjust if needed, however.

[ speaking of dressed to kill, regina got a 30 disguise, and while she's waiting impatiently outside, her expression does turn at least momentarily appreciative when she sees him. ] ... Well. At least the view could definitely be worse. [ so blunt. she extends a hand to him, as if she fully expects him to kiss it. ] You must be Mr. Rogers. [ if only there were any way she could get that reference. ]

[ Steve isn't a hundred percent prepared for Regina to be so bold, but he does smile. He smooths down the front of his vest and takes her hand. The way she extends it though definitely puts Steve on the right path. It's not a handshake. She's old fashion. Which is why he lifts it to his lips to kiss the back and then lower it slowly. Old fashion values. Come get some. ]

I am. Call me Steve. You're Regina right?

[ The reference is lost on Steve as well. ]

either way, she's clearly pleased when he responds in kind without hesitation, lifting her chin slightly as a thin smile works its way across her features. ] I am. [ Steve's a little anxious, but only because he really wants to make that good impression. He's unfortunately a massive nerd that really only ever wants everyone around him to like him. That includes Regina right now. ]

Yes, ma'am. [ He smiles. ] I learned a thing or two back in my time. [ Because he just sort of assumes that people know his full story now. The fact that he was born and raised in twenties up until the forties.

Her attitude reminds him a bit of Tony which is why he doesn't seem too concerned by it. He's gotten used to it. ] I'm just happy you appreciate them. I uh--hope you like wine. I did a little research. Everyone who's ever been here seemed pretty pleased.

Wine sounds wonderful. [ it really does, ok. she likes the classy things. ]

Good. I was really hoping that you weren't going to wind up like--not a drinker. That'd be pretty embarrassing.

Considering what I've had to deal with since I came to this world? A bit of alcohol now and again is almost a necessity.

[ Steve moves out ahead of her to get the door for her first. Carrying on a conversation as they move. ]

Really? What'd you have to deal with? Unless that's good personal.

How would you feel if you learned that people from the same world as you decided to lie to you from the moment you arrived?

[ For a moment Steve looks like a deer caught in headlights. Not sure what to say to Regina about that. It sounded intense though. ]

Wow. That would hurt pretty bad. I'm sorry that happened to you, Regina. No one deserves to have people they care about lie to them.

No, they don't. Particularly where it involves my own child.

[ He was not expecting her to tell him that she had a child. He didn't think it was a bad thing though. Just a little bit of a curve ball. ]

I'm sorry that happened to you. Did you guys sort things out?

You might say we're working on that.

That's good. Communication is key. It's good that you guys are working through it. Because right now having people from your home is key. I think. I'm probably just making stuff up.

Do you have anyone here? From home, that is.

Actually, yeah. [ He smiles. ] I do. Two people. They're teammates from back home. Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff. You know them?

[unhappily]

Not really. What sort of team?

Um. [ How does he explain that? ] We save the world together. As a team. [ Good enough. ]

Not all that different from what Wynn professes to do, then.

Yeah. Except we weren't called Knights. They called us the Avengers. Run by me and outfitted by a man named Tony Stark. I didn't think I'd find something similar to what I was used to back home. Imagine my surprise when Jack Chessing came calling.

Is that what appealed to you about the Knighthood? Do-Gooders-United?

[ He chuckles softly when she asks that. He clicks his tongue and shrugs his shoulders. ]

I can't lie. I was running around New York helping people when I settled. I was a little hesitant though. I've been burned before by organizations who don't do what they say.

And you think that might be a problem here?

[recruited]

I'm a little wary. I'm keeping an open mind. Trying not to let myself be jaded, but I also know that people get corrupted often. It's not impossible.

[ He wants to be optimistic, but sometimes it's hard. ]

I think Wynn is a very good man, but so was Nick Fury and the infection in his organization grew without him noticing.
