OPEN - (1: Natasha setting up blind dates for Steve Rogers / 2: dates with Steve Rogers)

1). PART ONE is: Natasha Romanoff + any ladies in particular of the castle who are at least over 18. (Please read this for more details, including how to sign up.)

2). PART TWO is: Steve Rogers + his dates!

WHAT || If you specified that you wanted to play out the initial interaction with Natasha, this is what is happening in the first part of this log. The second part of the log is the actual dates!

There will be a thread starter (edit: here now! ) for the initial interaction with Natasha (I'd rather multi-thread this than have it single thread, for the sake of my sanity). Jesse, however, is the guy to talk to about starters for the dates with Steve.

WHERE || In and around the castle, with Natasha. For Steve, anywhere the date is happening.
WHEN || Natasha and Steve talked again at the April after party, so we can say this is ... May/June? I can adjust if needed, however.
HOW || Prose or action.

[It's not the first place Faye would have picked for a date, but she also isn't sure what will come of this, if anything, so she's just sort of seeing where this takes her. She's seen Steve, of course. They've existed in the same castle for a few months, but they've never spoken. She keeps her outfit casual. But she has this way of making any outfit look almost scandalous from her attitude alone.

Standing near the front entrance, she glances at her pone again, waiting for Steve to meet her here.]

[ Steve was doing his best to keep these dates as natural and comfortable as possible. Which meant picking places interesting, but also giving them a chance to look at things. That meant no movies cause that left no opportunity to really talk.

He doesn't expect to see Faye when he shows up, but he can't complain. She's younger than him, but she's pretty to boot. He approaches with a smile. ] Hey. Didn't keep you waiting long did I?

[She has to actively try not to laugh when he walks up, looking like a clean cut poster boy for all things good and pure. Dear god, if he really knew her, he would probably run for the hills. She manages to just turn her amusement into a brilliant smile and shakes her head, looking up at him.]

Not long, no. I was just looking over our options. [She gestures to the pamphlets laying out, describing the different exhibits.]

Anywhere in particular you want to start?

[ Natasha didn't really give him dossiers or anything. It's probably for the best because Natasha can find out secrets like no other. No one wants Natasha digging around in their background trying to write up date dossiers. ]

Oh. Wow. [ Pamphlets galore. This place really is a lot bigger than Steve anticipated. Which is probably a good thing. Gives them lots to do. ] Ya know. I've always liked turtles. Or were you hoping for something a little more--shark related?

Turtles are fine. [Although sharks would be better. She's okay with turtles.]

So what made you agree to all of this? Your friend setting you up.

[ Whatever. Sharks are stupid. Turtles are majestic as fuck and they surf. Get with it, Faye. ]

I made the mistake of mentioning to her how she always set me up back home. She decided she would carry on that tradition on this side of the Veil. I never really agreed back then, but I figured it couldn't hurt now. What made you agree to go out with me?

I was bored. Figured why the hell not. [She smirks and gives a shrug of one shoulder.]

The fact that you turned out to be very, very nice to look at was just icing on the cake.

[ That's sort of an answer. Not the one he was expecting. ]

Do you usually go on dates cause you're bored?

[ He is smiling though. ]

Ya know--I keep getting that response when I show up for these.

Have you looked in a mirror? [She has to toss that retort back before she can even address his first question. Because seriously, Steve. You're pretty.]

I do most things because I'm bored. Why should dating be the exception?

Yeah. I have. Another thing people keep saying. World's big though. I'm pretty sure there are guys out there more attractive than me.

[ Shut up. He's not pretty. ]

I dunno. I always thought dating was an interest thing. Not a boredom one.

[reallywicked]

It me be for most people. [Dating for interest, that is.] But I'm not most people.

[She flashes him a smile that's a little dangerous before turning to head for the turtles.]

[ He's starting to get that impression. It seems that Natasha picked every self confident woman she could find to send to Steve.

Steve lags behind her trying to wrap his head around it all. Then he catches up once they're at the glass looking at them. ]

How's the boredom now that you're here?

[reallywicked]

[She pauses in front of a tank, glancing at him from the side. Her lips curve up into a smirk as she gives him a very clear look up and down, appraising him before she answers.]

You seem like the kind of guy who has trouble loosening up, but you've got the clean cut good looks thing going for you, so... I'm not so bored.

[High praise, really.]

So what is it you're looking for, Steve? I mean- all these dates, I can't imagine you're really looking for something serious. Or are you hoping to play the odds? Find the one in a million girl by just going out with a million?

[ He squirms a bit when she looks at him. It's weird. It's like a lioness looking at her dinner. It makes him feel weird. When she comments on his looks though Steve just thinks for a moment. Seems to be the number one thing to say when people meet him. He does take a moment though when she asks what he's looking for. He hasn't quite thought that question all the way through. ]

My friend--Natasha--she's been desperate to find me dates since we worked together back home. Even on missions she'd try to pitch women. I wasn't ready. [ He shrugs. ] I am now. These are actually just me trying to dip my toe in the water more. I haven't really done this that much.

So... you're just using us as a warm up for people that you actually want to date?

[Faye Chamberlain, here to twist your words since always :) ]

Wait. What?

[ Totally not at all what he was getting at. He's not pretty confused. ]

No. I'd never do something like that. I'm just--feeling all this out.

Hm... [She seems to think that over.]

And how does it feel so far?

Um. Well.

[ She looks--well, right now she looks like the spider who probably caught a bug in her web. Steve isn't sure how to answer at first. ]

It feels interesting. You um--you ask a lot of interesting questions huh?
