[Han wasn't here for the fight, but he gets back as quickly as he can. If that happens to mean hot-wiring a plane and borrowing it, well, they can worry about consequences later. Some things are more important. He needs to make sure his family is okay.

Which is why everyone gets treated to a space pirate looking way more flustered than usual as he slams through the castle. Sure, by now he's got confirmation they're alive, but he won't be happy until he actually sees them.]

[flyingsolo]

[ it's ok, jaina was ... wondering the same thing, to be honest. her dad would find her helping with the wiring somewhere, and she looks up and appears awash in relief at the sight of him ] You're ok.

[parsecs]

Jaina! [He hurries towards her and pulls her into a hug.]

I was off on a mission. When I heard what happened, I--

[This is the downside to having family in that same dangerous business he's always favored. Getting into crazy situations makes so much more sense when there's no one else you have to worry about.]

Anyway, you're ok too. That's the important part.

[flyingsolo]

[ she's a little surprised but winds up hugging him back tightly, as if his lack of hesitation gives her permission to be okay with it. ] It's alright, Dad.

I wasn't even here either.

Good. I don't trust this nonsense about bringing people back from the dead. Not enough to want to see it in action, anyway.

It does all feel so... unnatural.

[parsecs]

Well, it is. Doesn't even work all the time. You know the deal with the veil, right?

[flyingsolo]

Like in general? Yeah.

[parsecs]

That sometimes it closes. [He doesn't know how it'll effect the Force. It's not... exactly magic, but it's also something that's not exactly normal, especially around here. He hopes she doesn't have to find out.]

It's all just... strange.

[flyingsolo]

I'd heard. No one seems to know why.

[parsecs]

[Han shrugs.] Don't look at me. I barely get the Force on a good day. I'm not even trying with this world's magic.

But that's the thing. I don't know how it'll affect the Force. [One more way he's just so the wrong person to talk to about this.]

[flyingsolo]

The Force doesn't go away.

[parsecs]

I hope you're right. But you're the only one who can sense it. Most people here don't even know about it.

[flyingsolo]

I've been thinking about that.

You came from our world - so did Mom. And that other girl, who found her way to the Knights awhile back.

There have to be more, out there. Maybe some who know more about this stuff.

[parsecs]

You think so? [Han doesn't know, but when Jedi have hunches, they tend to be right.] Might be right, but how would you find 'em?

[flyingsolo]

I thought the Hoard could help with that.

[parsecs]

[Han's not sure how much there is to find, but he nods anyway.] I'll ask around too. I know some... helpful types. [Sketchy, underground helpful types that are more helpful the more cash you provide.] Might have noticed anyone with powers that don't match up to what this planet's used to.

[procurer]

[ Nick hasn't been back all that long himself either, but he's had a chance to make sure Abbie and some of his other friends are alright, and to help here and there with the clean-up efforts. Which are... going to take a while, but he's got time. He's pretty sure the job he'd been working is now a lost cause, so he's not in any rush to be anywhere.

He does keep an eye out for his mentor, however, because he hadn't spotted the man yet. But as he's not currently stretched out on the ballroom floor with the other casualties, Hawley's going on the optimistic assumption that he weathered this latest batch of disasters.

When he does finally spot him, he drops what he's doing to wander in the man's direction, an expression of relief flickering across his expression, because he'd still been worried. ]

Oh good, you're still in one piece.

[parsecs]

Same to you. Pretty sure losing a squire is cause for paperwork. [Though despite the light words, there is a certain amount of worry in his expression. He sure wasn't happy to hear what went down. There are a lot of people he cares about here.]

[procurer]

Heaven forbid. I'll strive to continue avoiding death just for that.

[ Nick counters with light words of his own as he saunters up to the man with a crooked grin, the expression still somewhat tempered by the seriousness of their situation and what had happened here. ]

Were you here? Are your people alright? [ Nick's pretty sure his mentor's got some pretty close friends and family numbered among the Knights, even if he doesn't know the man so well just yet. ]

[parsecs]

We all missed out on the action. My kid's okay. [That's the important part.]

[procurer]

[ Yeah that is pretty important, although Nick still looks a little startled by it. ]

Wait, you got a kid here? In the Knights?

[ He hadn't thought they let kids in this thing. Did gnomes count? ]

[parsecs]

Not a kid-kid. She's grown-up. But yeah, my daughter, Jaina.

[procurer]

[ Hawley gives a slow blink for a moment and starts recalculating his estimation of Han's age. ]

My. You were precocious, weren't you?

[parsecs]

[HE's LIKE FORTY-SOMETHING. He rolls his eyes.]

Ain't like that. She was just a baby back home when I got relocated through the veil, and I show up to find her fully grown.
