It's only a few hour plane ride from England to Italy, but the team has a little time to settle in and get to know each other and/or ask questions of Zee in preparation for meeting with her dad.

And of course, when they arrive, she takes the lead, bringing them through the streets of Florence, Italy at night and leading them around the door of a sold out theater advertisement for the Amazing Zatara.

[Charming isn't the most comfortable on the plane, but in the grand scheme of things, he's doing okay. He found a magazine or something because that's what he's flipping through. Does this plane have Skymall? It's either that or he's reading about the Kardashians... Neither option is very good.]

[ emma sitting next to her father isn't quite habit yet, but it feels like a given all the same, and she does it unconsciously. she's got a book (bitch came prepared, belle gave her the hook-ups), and she looks sympathetically over at david's choice of reading material. ]

At least it's only about two hours.

[He looks at her and laughs, then sighs and closes the magazine.]

Maybe the next one will have an in flight movie.

[He peers over at the book in her lap.] What'd you bring?

[ she turns the cover over. ]

It was a favorite of mine, when I was a kid. Got a ... New perspective on it, recently. Thought I'd give it another look.

[ the look on her face is obviously caught-out and whoops dad didn't need that and just entirely wow she wishes he didn't ask because it couldn't be more obvious rn. ]

[Charming draws his attention away from Emma and the book and looks a few rows up at a certain Captain in question.]

It's not - [ she looks exasperated, but realizes arguing just makes her sound defensive and quiets with a sigh. ] Shouldn't the overbearing dad instincts have gone with the rest of your memories?

You'd think so, wouldn't you? I guess some things just come naturally.

[ she gives a smirk, shutting her book and tucking it away. ]

Lucky for you, you really don't have to. I learned how to watch out for myself; nothing's going on. [ seriously the last thing you ever have to worry about w emma swan is boys and she doesn't know how to better express this. ]

[She can take care of herself, sure. He can tell that plainly, but that doesn't stop the urge within him to make sure she's okay. And since they're dancing around the topic of Hook without actually talking about him, he may as well just cut out the subtlety.]

What d'you know about the guy? I can't figure him out.

I know he's got it out for Gold. Or he did. [ she casts a sidelong glance in their general direction, shifty. she's uncomfortable with all this memory loss and not sure what to make of it. ] I know he'd turn on me in a second if it meant getting what he wanted. [ beat. she looks back over at charming. ] On us. [ not just her. oops. ]

You don't trust him? [It's still a question because she didn't seem too concerned at the mission briefing. Annoyed? Maybe, but she wasn't protesting.]

I trust him to do what's best for himself. Right now, I think that's aligned with the interests of the Knights. If that changes ... Who knows.

Not exactly the vote of confidence I look for when discussing a teammate. [SUDDEN BAD FEELING.]
