[ Following a long night after returning from the hospital where Jade finally passed away, there remains a lot to be said and done.

As Burt struggles to deal with the legal side of things, Francesca begins to head that way across the ocean in order to help the Knights do the same, and to help Finnick leave his celebrity life behind somehow. Violet takes the full weight of responsibility for planning the funeral into her hands, and the others continue to try to cope with what's occurred, and slowly put the pieces of information that they have together.

But many of them are still reeling from the revelations of the last few days, or carrying their own emotional burdens. Des continues to keep the truth about Jade's last words to himself as he deals with losing a woman he'd come to love, and faces up to a now uncertain future, thanks to a deal struck with Iscariot. Myri worries deeply about the potential fate of Violet, who's been considering hunting down Keijen Blade on her own, and her concern causes another small rift in her relationship with Finnick. Buffy finally reaches a point of breaking down over her conflicted feelings for Rafael, as Elena assists Archer in completing a giant fireworks bomb for reasons unknown.

This log covers the events leading up to the funeral, which means it will most likely cover a day or two or three. We will use it to make threads for any and all events occurring during this time. ]

[Archer sighs, and looks at the egg on his fork, like he's completely lost his focus on something extremely important.]

Yes, Cosmo Kramer, I cooked... IF you want to call masterfully weaving an elegant tapestry of flavorful tastes and aromas of the finest culinary stature "Cooking."

Also, there's some Bloody Marys left.

[ in fact, she'll yank it out of her waistband right now just to wave it pointedly for a moment, before shoving it back in ] You never know when ninjas or... lizardmen are gonna pop out and make with the assassinating.

[Archer drops his fork, with a terrified expression on his face.]

Lizard... As in... half-man half-crocodile? Or... just like... regular lizard?

[He stares at her as though the absurd question is a life-or-death matter.]

Uhhhh, as far as I know? More like snake-man.

[He relaxes, and exhales heavily.]

Definitely not crocodile-men though, right?

If I said yes, would you wet yourself? Because you look a little bit ready to wet yourself. [ /judgmental sip ]

HEY.

For your information, Crocodile's are like 4,000 pound monsters from the fucking cretaceous period and I don't think there's enough bullets between the two of us to even make one flinch.


...Luckily there's no recorded crocodile deaths here in Chicago, so I thought we'd be relatively safe.

I think some of the team almost fell into a giant moat of them in New Orleans. Just sayin'.

[His eyes go wide, and he takes a giant gulp from his Bloody Mary.]

That is exactly why I'm glad we now have a giant makeshift bomb. Just in case.
