[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this month.  Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[Video games might transcend time but Thoster barely knows how to work a phone, so when he passes by the rec room and hears the sounds of the game, he stops and back tracks to get a closer look. For a minute, he just stares, but eventually he has to ask.]

What's all this? [No this is his utter confusion. water u doin son?]

Apparently. [Because the box the game was in educated him to this fact.] Its called a video game. And this thing-- [He holds up the controller.] --controls the little cars on the screen.

It's awesome.

[He steps in closer and looks between the boy's hands and the screen, catching somewhat how it works but not really understanding it.]

Can I try?

[He's always up for trying something new after all.]

Sure. [Pausing the game, Sean scoots over so Thoster and his rampant confusion can have the prime right in front of the screen space on the couch and holds out the controller like whenever you're ready homes. Meanwhile he points out the buttons and what they do onscreen, which idk so pretend it was accurate okay.]

[Taking the controller, he sits and stares at the screen before beginning. Thoster is appropriately bad at this (computer use 7). But he's not getting discouraged and actually finds crashing the car to be a lot of fun.]

[Sean wouldn't know how fun it is because he is perfect, tbh, but it's pretty amusing to watch, even as he points out tips on how to... not crash. Imagine the damage the two of them could do with Grand Theft Auto, driving over pedestrians.] You're jerking the controller too hard.

Sorry- what? [Those words don't make sense. He just stops and stares at the boy.]

Uhh. [He grabs the other controller and demonstrates how to be smooth as butter, baby.] Like that.

[Nope. Thoster is just not meant for this. Now he's actually changed the view of the screen so that its pointing at the car while he wildly drives here and there (computer use 5). With a disgruntled look, he just drops the controller back in Sean's lap.]

Bit more difficult than all that.

[Your man pain is precious, Thoster. Sean picks up the controller and with a couple of flicks he has it back to normal like he is one of those gamer kids in competitions.]

Not everybody's thing, I guess.

Suppose it's not. [He's still mildly entertained just watching Sean, though.] What's your name, lad?

Sean Cassidy. [He zooms through another race like damn, riding this nat 20 until the game changes tbh.] You?

Thoster Chatwyn. [He watches the game for a bit longer before sitting back on the couch and crossing his arms across his chest to get comfortable.]

Like it here? More than just the.... whatever this is.

People? What people? All I see are those cars...

[He laughs good naturedly.] No, I mean here, in the castle. I like the people here.

Oh! Right, of course. Plenty of good people. Plenty of other sorts, too. [real talk]

[Office gossip is a go. Deets.] Like what sorts?

Watch out for Lan in the training room. He'll knock you on your ass and not think twice about it. And if you ever meet a blonde girl named Kat? Run.

I don't run from girls. [Just Faye! lol]

With any other girl, I'd say that's a good lad. But this one isn't to be trifled with. Trust me on that.
