Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's access card to open the glass class beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artworks depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already.  Wynn will be with you all shortly.

[ Buffy's dawdling as she makes her way into the Round Table room, trying to put it off to an extent, because after the announcement of the mission, being stuck for who knows how long with Spike--as in Spike, the vampire--sounds like a whole lot more uncomfortable than she wants to deal with. And she's pretty paranoid that he's already in there when she arrives.

But, as she hesitantly peers inside as the door opens, she finds that he's not, and slips in with a little more ease. She should be nervous about the mission, not about who's on it. But she can't help it. Vampires bad, people good, right? Her extensive experience (being, well, none of it actual life experience and all of it freaky nightmare experience) certainly told her so. But, Wynn wouldn't invite anyone evil into his Knighthood, would he?

She paced a little at first, but eventually took a seat at the table, folding her hands on top of it and trying to put her mind at ease. There'd be plenty of time to spaz later. ]

[Spike's been feeling bad about the whole vampire thing ever since it came out. It's not like it's something he can change. But Buffy doesn't like it, and he's far more worried than he should be about losing her friendship. If they'd even really been friends yet.

He walks towards her hesitantly and gives her a tentative smile.]

Do you mind if I sit with you?

[Wonder of wonders, Myrilandel not only manages to utilize the network system to realize she has a mission briefing to attend to, but after a few tries, she is able to access the Round Table room with minimal fumbling.

The hall is of great interest to her, as the artwork tells her more about the Knighthood than she's been able to pick up in conversations here or there. Eventually, she reaches the end of the hall and meets a large door. Taking a deep breath and steeling herself that they wouldn't send her anywhere if they didn't believe she was capable, she opens the door.

Myri immediately gasps at the sight of the crystal dragon. Something prickles at the back of her mind, like a memory. But every time she tries to reach for it, it slips away- just as it has her entire life. Still, the presence of the dragon statue actually calms the girl, which is a good thing.

Eventually, she realizes that others have already entered the room before her. She bows her head to them, smiling in recognition of Buffy, but only averting her gaze from Spike. She chooses a seat a few away from Buffy and folds her hands in her lap. Quiet and observant, she waits for direction.]

((ooc: I know it's all one thread but I wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm closing at work tonight so I won't be home until like 10pm EST, so just assume that Myri is quietly nodding and listening intently until then haha))

Do I have a choice? [ Her tone is clipped and it comes out as a snap. And, okay, so she's taking out her miserable problems out on him. But, you try almost killing King Arthur. She looks pointedly away from him to Myri, giving a smile. Good to see people on her good list were coming along as well. ] After training the other day, I think I can safely say yours isn't a face I'm sorry to see around this table.

[bigbad]

[Spike rolls his eyes, scowling a bit.] Course you do. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked. [But fine. Clearly she doesn't want to see him. That's fine, he didn't like her much anyway. Bossy bint. He takes a seat on the other side of Myri and offers her a smile.]

Good to see you again, love.

[witchwoman]

[She tenses when Spike sits next to her. The man wasn't cruel to her, but he had certainly made her feel less than welcome the last time they met. She just gives her a tight smile and a nod of her head before addressing Buffy's compliment.]

And after seeing your prowess with a blade, I'm glad to see you here as well. [This time her smile is more genuine, warm.]

[aproperdoctor]

[Martha glances around at the other people in the room, realising that she knows most of them - except for the blonde girl and one of the knights. She's also slightly embarrassed to see Mark again, considering how awkward their dance was. Instead of dwelling on this, she gives everybody a slight wave.]

Hi, I'm Martha. Even though...I guess most of you know me already.

[slays]

Been a while. [ She gives a wave to Martha, then looks to Myri. ] Prowess schmowess! Not to toot my own horn here, but you saved Arthur's life with that spell.

[aproperdoctor]

[...Martha's beginning to regret skipping out on weapons training. Curse her innate pacifism. She leans forward with interest, glancing between Buffy and Myri.] Wait, what happened? Arthur nearly died?

[bigbad]

[Spike nods at Martha with a bit of a grin since she's the only person that doesn't dislike him sob his life then turns towards Buffy.] Yeah, I heard about that. You nearly killed the boy, right? [He shakes his head.] You're something else entirely, Summers.

[He wishes more than ever that he could really fight her.]

[slay]

[ Buffy snaps at that, glaring at him. ] Keep talking and I'll nearly kill you too. [ She gritted her teeth, grinding them a moment, then turned her attention to Martha. ] We ... sparred. Turns out, real steel is ... well, the word sharp comes to mind.

[witchwoman]

[Myri remains quiet, not wishing to linger on her deeds. She healed the man because she had to. Nothing more.]

[Oh and have a timely entrance, as Gar walks into the Round Table room just in time to hear Buffy threatening to murder one of her teammates. Her eyes widen, and she mumbles:] Oh my.

[shootfirst]

[Meanwhile, Kat behind her was just blithely talking about something and totally fails to notice Gar grinding to a halt in front of her. She plows into the other girl from behind, and reaches out to grab her in surprise.] Hey! Sorry! [She glances around her at the gathered, obviously curious] What's the hold up?

[aproperdoctor]

Guess I should've showed up for weapons training, huh? I missed out on all the excitement. [She glances at Buffy again; she looks way too tiny to actually swing a sword around, in Martha's opinion, but what does she know?] And you used a healing spell? I wish I could've seen that - though I expect I'll have other chances to watch people healing.

Careful there, Kat. [Even though it's so obviously all Gar's fault.]

[And Dumage sliiiides in around them both, rolling her eyes and dropping into the closest seat, which is directly in front of the doors on this side, and two seats over from Martha.]

'Careful' isn't really in her vocabulary, darling.

[Kat rolllls her eyes right back at her, as she moves to squeeze in between Myri and Buffy, directing a comment back at Dumage.] And I don't remember asking for your input.

[She glances around, perking up] Are we talking about Buffy kicking the crap out of King Arthur?

[rationalizes]

[Gar follows along, taking the one seat remaining between Buffy and Kat, and glancing over at the Slayer, looking a bit pale.] I'm glad to hear you're both alright, at the very least.

[Mark comes in a few moments later, looking like he's not particularly enthused about being here. His eyes mostly drag along the floor, though his gaze flits once across the faces of those gathered, bouncing from Martha to Dumage, and then back to the floor. He quietly yanks out a chair right in between them, with a seat buffer on either side of him. He shoots Martha a tight smile.]

[Great, more and more people, but still no Wynn. And Buffy hates him and is threatening to kill him. Spike hates his life. Was it this bad before he lost his memories? He hopes not.]

How long does this usually take?

[slay]

[ Buffy narrows her gaze on Spike, returning curtly and promptly. ] Why, do you have something better to be doing? [ Like eating innocent people???? After holding a piercing gaze on him for a long moment, she turns to look at Kat and Gar. ] It kinda came up, but not anymore. How've you guys been?

[witchwoman]

It was nothing. Just a small spell. [She says to Martha when a lull in conversation allows her to.]

[With Kat beside her, Myrilandel immediately feels more at ease. Her Knight has quickly become one of her favorite people and someone who strangely makes her feel calmer, despite the boundless amount of energy that the girl seems to have.]

[shootfirst]

[Kat nudges Myri with a gentle elbow, and gives her a big smile] Hey, there's no 'small' where magic's involved. It's all way more awesome than what most people can do. [She glances to her right, looking past Gar to smile at Buffy]

Finally glad to be going on a mission, that's how I'm feeling.

[bigbad]

I'm with you there. I want some bloody action. [He glares over at Buffy.] Just wish the company were better.

[slay]

[ Offended outburst go. ]

Oh, like you're one to talk. Has all the peroxide gone to your head? You're not exactly anyone's first choice for teammate.
