The Knights take off for Katoomba, Australia, to investigate a tale of a temple to the goddess of magic Mystra that was erected very suddenly and mysteriously, seemingly unknown to other Mystran clergy in the world.  A bizarre tale of a cleric being chased out with gunfire, and a missing bookseller with a connection to the church have left Wynn worried about what might be going on within the walls of the temple.  It is constructed a short distance from the actual city proper, up the river.

[Jaime has finally gotten the courage to get up and make his way to the bathroom despite the fact that moving around on a machine hurtling through the air faster than a dragon in flight seems like an INSANE IDEA as does peeing while on said machine, but he's managed. Gold star for Jaime.

He pauses as he passes Alanna. His pride is still wounded from both her victory in their duel and the fact that she of all people was proclaimed mission leader. But he's very confused by the shiny thing in her lap that's showing her face (knowledge 9).]

I suppose it would be, were it a mirror—though I imagine a magic mirror would make a far worse distraction for the times ahead, so I'm lucky it's not.

[ She lowers the iPad and looks up at him like excuse me bitch did you want something ?? ]

[He ignores that look. As pissed as he is that she's existing in his space and he's supposed to follow her orders she's still... more tolerable than the panda std trio over there.]

So what, precisely, is it?

An iPad, you prat. [ She bellows out a reluctant, exasperated sigh and hands it up to him. ] Haven't you bothered to look at anything since you've been with the Knighthood? It's a bit of technology made for taking pictures, retrieving messages, and playing games. Quite the effective time-waster.

[twinfucker]

Like a large phone? [He's not... completely blind to technology. Mostly because he's had to use the phone.] Can't be very interesting games if they're so small and flat. [Jaime isn't really aware of games where you have options other than win or die that are on the computer. Board games are a thing in Westeros, but animated game pieces are hard to wrap his head around.]

And how do you intend to pass the time, Sir Jaime? [ She snatches it back from him and clicks the hold button. ] Aggravating the lot of us with your deliberate ignorance?

Not much time to pass. It's hardly a day of travel. And one we can sleep through without losing speed besides.

A day trapped in a steel box is a great deal different than one passed on horseback. You'll be itching out of your skin before the morning is out.

[twinfucker]

If we haven’t fallen back to Earth and died upon impact, I’ll be well satisfied with a bit of itching and boredom.

[It's said with casualness, like it's a joke, not something he's... actively worried about (bluff 12). He knows airplanes fly around all the time without falling. But it's still hard to wrap his mind around, and he can't help but think that any moment whatever magics or sciences are holding the plane up will fail and they'll fall out of the sky.]

And do you plan to inflict this boredom of yours upon me for the entire flight, or will you be rotating your whinging?

By the Seven, no. I'd probably toss you out of the plane before we were a quarter of the way there, and I've been led to believe opening the doors here is very dangerous.

Good. Carry on, then. Best not keep it up any longer lest we tempt the gods.

Come now. Not much of a leader if you let your personal disdain show so clearly. Perhaps you should learn tolerance.

And perhaps you should learn to watch your tongue and follow.

I'm more than happy to follow when the leader knows what he's doing.

So you believe Wynn doesn't know what he's doing. He is, after all, the one who appointed me. I'm appalled that you'd draw his judgment into question.
