Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Lis'sa is already here when you arrive.

After his last mess up... Mars came in as professional looking as he could possibly manage. He was embarrassed as hell over what happened in Germany. So he's kept to himself and just goes and takes a seat.

[asuma]

[Hey, Mars, Hey. Klaus is the next to arrive, and since he and Mars have already met he will go out of his way to flash him a smile following his acknowledgement of both Lis'sa and Wynn (?), before taking the seat beside him.]

Mars just smiled a bit at the other.]

[Rebekah files in shortly after her brother, sitting down next to him. She raises a curious brow.]

A friend of yours?

[Well now, this was interesting. Alas, they were here for a mission briefing and so a certain amount of composure was to be expected. But really Klaus was over the fucking moon that he'd made a lasting impression on the young mage. Just as planned.]

You might say that. [And then there was the matter of Rebekah--]

Mars, allow me to introduce Rebekah. My sister. [The same one he told you about.]

Oh yes! You told me about her.

[ He nodded respectfully towards her.] It is a pleasure to have a face with the name, Miss Rebekah.

I'm not sure I want to know what he's told you about me. [It comes out like simple sibling teasing -- but really with Klaus who knows what he's said. Still, she smiles all the same.]

It's nice to meet you.

As you can see, she tends to be a bit melodramatic. [It was all good, Rebekah. He actually missed you and was expressing as much to Mars to bond with him over his own little sister ok.

But his response doesn't come off scathing or bad-natured either. Siblings. He was genuinely glad to have his sister here with him, even if he was at a disadvantage by not remembering nearly as much as she did from back home.]

[ Granted his own little sister, was still a tiny thing. He smiled all the same.]

Likewise, and don't worry he didn't say anything bad. [ he chuckled some. hoping he wasn't holding the meeting up.]

I am not melodramatic. [Except for the part where she totally is. It runs in the family.]

He didn't? That's a pleasant surprise. [Considering her brother's habits to talk shit about her love life and other things.

It feels weird being on such good terms with Nik again. There's so much he hasn't experienced, that he won't remember. That she'll probably never tell him about.]

[ lis'sa is here, though wynn isn't yet. she nods back at klaus, and rebekah as well, veritably ignoring you, mars, sry. she doesn't say anything at all, however. for anyone who has never really talked to her, you can make the spot check for her weird snakey features. ]

Fear not people! The donuts have arrived! [Yeah look it's just not Kenzi unless she makes an entrance; a box of donuts in one hand, a drink the size of her head in the other and each word spoken around a large, pink iced donut shaped like a man and covered in sprinkles.

Y'all get to spend 20 hours on a flight with her folks. Enjoy that.

She slips into an available chair and slides the donuts onto the middle of the table, managing not to choke on her drink as her gaze falls on Lis'sa. (Spot Nat 20/Will Save 19).]

What'd I miss?

[Rebekah smiles at lis'sa, nodding back to her before she turns her attention to the new person entering. She seems...interesting. To say the very least.]

Nothing, so far.

[Bo walks in shortly after Kenzi, and snags a donut as she sits down. Who cares that it's 5pm, really.]

Dinner of champions.

[ wynn enters a few paces behind bo, rather than coming in from the doors to his chambers. he walks around the circumference of the table, to come to a stop in front of those large golden doors, before turning to survey them. ] Thank you all for being so prompt.

Your mission will be taking you to New Zealand, specifically to an area that has been struck by what is reported to be a particularly unnatural and sudden onset of winter weather, so localized as to be quite likely magical in nature. Sources have told us that the change coincided rather oddly with the arrival of a traveling carnival that set up shop outside the town of Broughton.

It seems worth an investigation, at the very least. It's possible there's nothing sinister or dangerous about the circumstances, but I'd rather we don't find out that there is when it's too late.

Oooo Carnies. [Yes from that whole speech, this is what Kenzi took from this.

She starts to raise her hand... then seems to realize she's not actually in school.]

So are we gonna be like, going in undercover, getting in touch with our inner Carnie here or is it more; go, see, get outta town before the frostbite kicks in?

Given that the fair is open to the public, you should be able to gain admittance and investigate whether there's any reason to connect the carnival to the strange weather patterns.

Mars arched a brow at that. "That's strange." He muttered more to himself, but he was more then happy to try again. Hopefully this time he did better.

Assuming we find the sudden shift in weather and appearance of this carnival to be entirely unrelated--what then? Are we to continue searching for the cause?

And if we find the cause are we supposed to neutralize it or merely report our findings?

[This is Rebekah's first mission okay she has no idea how this shit goes.]

If the nature of the threat is something dangerous, I expect you will find a way to stop it.

[ Mars nods, that much makes sense.]

[Again, Kenzi goes to raise her hand then stops, bouncing in her seat like she needs to go pee.]

So. Question. [Leaning forward in her seat like she's about to ask something very important.] Duty free shopping. Is that a thing we can do or is that like, not available to the Knights because... whatever, reasons.

[Very important to Kenzi at least...]

Once you've accomplished what you've been tasked to do, your time is certainly your own.

Sa-weeeet. Then sign me up! [Kenzi, you never really had a choice it's a mission...] When do we leave boss-man?!

[Klaus would like to have a word with you about how you create these teams, Wynn. Also birthdays. But for now he will just silently judge everyone in the room who is not related to him by blood.

He's going to be sticking around after they're all dismissed too, so that he can actively stalk his new comrades in the hallway. Just putting that out there in case anyone wants to actually talk to him when the time comes.]
