Arrival in the city involved picking up any weapons or equipment that they had sent to meet them here and moving into their oh-so-fancy hotel rooms on the top floor. It consists of four adjoining rooms with a shared living room space and kitchenette. Each bedroom has two separate beds and roomies are:

Kat & Gar
Buffy & Myri
Martha & Dumage
Spike & Sven

Mark's agreed to sleep on the couch, since there aren't any spaces with five separate adjoining rooms available.

Gar's new job will begin on Monday, which gives the Knights the weekend to explore the city if they like, do research on the Hoffman Institute, scope out the Institute's campus, set up surveillance plans, or otherwise unwind before the real work starts. Feel free to start threads for anything, and use subject lines to denote which day it occurs on! Also don't be afraid to jack multiple people into threads, as now is a great time for some TEAM BUILDING 8) ... Try not to kill each other, in other words.]

[Sniping sniping, being slightly desperate and pathetic, finally ragequitting... HEY DUMAGE. Spike puts on a bit of a grin, even though his general bad mood shines through.]

Beats sitting around here watching television all night.

Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen. [He's had enough TV during the day.] City like this? Night like tonight? We're going out. [He pushes the button to the elevator, spirits rising at the thought of finally getting out. Who cares about Buffy? He's going to get drunk.]

I'm glad at least someone around here knows how to have a good time. [She'll grab her coat off the peg by the door - probably some big real zebra fur number or something. Yep.]

[bigbad]

I cold say the same to you. [Between Buffy, who thinks he's going to snap and start eating people at any moment and Myri, who doesn't know what a television is... yeah. He'll take Dumage.] Quite a group we've got here. [He doesn't mean it in a good way.]

Ugh. Don't remind me. [She heads towards the elevator, heels clip clip clipping across the floor] But I suppose it could be worse.

Yeah, my prick of a mentor could have come along.

Very clever of you to take a mission in America, where he couldn't follow.

[bigbad]

[Spike gives her a puzzled look.] He can't come to America? What, does he not trust planes?

Refuses to ride in them. You can see why he's such a valued asset of the organization.

Right, we really need a smelly old git whose head's stuck in the dark ages.

At least they tend to run in blindly first when there's trouble. Saves the rest of us from losing our necks.

Lucky us. [Then again, Spike doesn't think he could just stand by and wait for more information before joining the fray himself. For a moment, he thinks that just maybe, he and Sir Lan have something in common, then he dismisses the thought. They're nothing alike.

Ugh, he doesn't want to talk about his absent knight. The guy's not around. It seems like an excellent opportunity to not think about him. Subject change time.]

On the way from the airport, yes. The further from here, the better, if you ask me.

Won't hear any arguments from me. I'm bloody tired of that room. [He frowned.] There are some serious downsides to being a creature of the night, you know.

Such as? Aside from the house arrest.

No, that's the bit I meant.

Well, there must be something else.

Oh, sure. Not having a reflection's... strange. And pig's blood? Not all that delicious. Plus, it clots if you don't drink it quick enough. [He pauses, looking away. He's considered human blood. It certainly smells better than pig's blood. But he doesn't think he could stomach it.]

[He grimaces.] Hardly the word I'd have used.
