WHO || Lanston Wellington, Drax the Destroyer, Wolverine, Nathan Young, Faith Lehane, Maxwell Briggard, Sam Winchester, Rocket, Eric Carpenter, Cora Hale, Dimitri Belikov, Alanna, Jaime Lannister, Klaus Mikaelson, Gus Harrison
WHAT || A team of Knights is tasked to assault the site of Shadowkind experimentation on Andres, free the Shadowkind within, and recover Sir Bancroft, if he's being held there.
WHERE || Andres Isle
WHEN || September 19th, 2014
HOW || Actionspam
[ Having spent months scrying on areas of the Island scouted out by Sir Bancroft and Sir Chessing, Hasmed is able to send a few groups to the Island via greater teleport spells, with a fairly small margin for error, as to where they're going to land. The Shadowkind prison teams land flawlessly, and the very big group appears in a clearing in the middle of the woods, abruptly finding themselves surrounded by trees and mostly darkness. The moon is in its last quarter, and with the trees so thick above them, there are only patches of light that filter down here and there. Those with darkvision or lowlight vision can see perfectly, but anyone with normal vision may find themselves squinting to see much of anything.
The teleport spell only works if the entire group is physically connected, so when they arrive, Wolverine yanks his hand off Nathan's shoulder, and gives Drax a Look like stop touching me if you value your hand. Eric runs his Drakenet app to determine their location, then announces: "Dead on." In other words, no spell mishap sending them miles off target. Beside them all, Lan's mount, Daisy, stamps her feet slightly, obviously unnerved by the magic. He whispers "Whoa, there" and reins her in, causing her to settle. ]

and someone smells like
lunchlemurs...gus's eyes search out for cora and max, checking to make sure both his squires arrived with all limbs intact, and faith, ditto on the limbs. ]
Everyone good?

He is, most assuredly, very tense, but despite his drunken fit the previous evening, he's buried all his anxiety in favor of his normal belligerent I-am-gonna-shut-the-fuck-out-of-everything-with-this-unfeasibly-large-gun attitude. There's no room for any other feelings here.]
Aside from never wanting to do that again? [He shudders. Fucking magic shit. He hops down off Drax's shoulder and looks around. Yaay darkvision.]

Also wtf teleportation this world is insane.]
We should probably get moving. The farther we get before they realize we're here, the better.
no subject
Teleportation spells? Definitely weird. She's just grateful they didn't merge into some kind of freakish beast.
But she does have all her limbs. And dark vision, so seeing is not a problem for her. She peers around the edges of the group, catching sight of Gus with Mellie and then starting to wander her way over.]
Which way is the prison?
no subject
A simple roll of her shoulder and she's pretty much ready to figure out where they need to head from here.]
I'm ready to get this taken care of. [ie: let's just get going.]

It would be good to have Gamora and Groot and Quill today.
[Instead of all these other losers. Can any of them defeat Kree warlords by dancing and the power of friendship? He doesn't think so.]
no subject
Patience. The killing will start soon enough.

[YOU'RE NOT RIVER TAM, NATHAN. /sadly shakes head]

She does, however, draw the magic sword at her hip. The crystal sword seems to reflect the moonlight, but it doesn’t truly glow the way that Lightning would. It feels wrong for Alanna to be bearing it at all, but she tightens her grip nonetheless.
If ever there were a day for a bloodbath.
At Cora's question, Alanna turns her attention to Rocket. ]
You know the way, don't you?

he's just... preparing himself. tactical shit. or possibly composing a list of specific individuals he has murder dibs on.
so when he's addressed, he snaps out of his thoughts.]
Yeah. [he scratches an ear.] It's like it was yesterday... oh wait. 'Cause it kinda was.
[ he laughs at his own pathetic attempt at humor and then with a.distressing 28 knowledge (local) check, he points in a direction.] It's that way.

Max spends his time making sure every part of him - including his equipment - are still attached on the right place. With his dark-vision, he probably finds everything at the right place.
Also, mental note, stay away from the psycho suicide bomber. He is just gonna stay near the magic-sword-wielding battle-mistress since, you know, magic swords are awesome.]
no subject
Well, lead the way.
[....so sympathetic, Sam. Way to miss that social cue that he's probably not okay with this.]

[ Mom, I don't want to eat the candy before dinner, I just want to unwrap it and stare at it. Don't you understand?? ]
no subject
His life is so hard.]
It ain't like I'm gonna forget in the next hour. [He sounds none too pleased about that either. Because, you know, he'd really like to forget.] And for our sake, they better not still be lookin' for me out here. 'Cause that could complicate things.
[But it would also give them people to murder, so... win???]

Groottrees. Not so much on Cora's end. She also does not even care about your revenge plot, and is good with staying put until they get the all clear, except ... ]We also probably should stand here, in a giant crowd, like a bunch of sitting ducks either. Especially considering ...
[She's just going to gesture to Mellie and Daisy, and all the other number of nice loud animals they happen to have brought with them.
Not Rocket.
... Okay, maybe sort of Rocket. Sorry tiny friend.]

[(knowledge 20 total) He is hip to Terran animal now, after not knowing his own species for so long. HE WISHES HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT. HE WISHES HE NEVER KNEW THAT.]
no subject
Speak for yourself.
[She can smell all of you and anything else just fine (survival 18). Don't be rude to her animal friends, Rocket.]
no subject
meanwhile, mellie has wandered off to the edge of the group, but with an angry snap of her jaws... returns with a small woodland creature to snack on while they're waiting. she's just gonna calmly eat this small animal while staring at rocket. ]

All's I'm sayin' is a mounted assault on the inside of a prison seems like a bad tactical move.
[And they also smell like horses.]
