Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

[With a disguise check that's all of 4, Cora ... did not dress up for this event. She does at least wear a pair of jeans that has no holes in it and a nice-ish shirt. Once she gets to the party, however, she is ... less concerned with how she's dressed because she probably blends right in. She's not going to worry about wearing something nice when alcohol is getting sloshed around everywhere.

It does seem kind of fun though. The party is lively without being pretentious, and for the most part she's just hanging back and listening for now, but being a tiny teenage girl in the middle of what seems to be a mostly burly men with the occasional tiny girl sprinkled in for flavor.

And Abigail, but that's because she's with Cora.

For right now she's just hanging back and observing. She'll actually integrate herself in things once she gets a better feel for it.]

[lurings]

[ abigail is a gr8 date. because she's way more focused on the food and cora than other people. because ew, other people. except jaina. and fred jr. she moves back over to cora's side and holds out the plate that she has piled with one of every food.

every food that isn't meat. ] I think they have mead. Actual mead. From Robin Hood mead.

[ maybe robin hood was a knight. she wouldn't be surprised after king arthur tbh. ]

[Cora's eyebrows go up a bit at that, eyes looking amused as they survey the food that Abigail brought over - even if she did miraculously manage to find vegetarian food at a Hide party.]

That's kind of like beer right?

[lurings]

A little bit. Think of it like if beer and wine had a baby -- its fermented honey and water. Usually with some kind of spices.

[ it can probably be made from people. :) ]

[Her nose wrinkles a bit at that. She's never really been one for drinking and that ... sounds kind of gross. But to each their own, right?]

I think I'll stick with the water.

[lurings]

Yeah, I wouldn't chance it either. [ sorry people who make mead. abigail has a soda, but it's a party. soda is party fare. ]

[She nods a bit in return before looking over the rest of the room.]

This is the most mismatched group of people I've ever seen.

[But she means that in a good way.]

[lurings]

[ following cora's example, she looks around at the other hide members. ]

All... the girls are... your size.

[impetere]

[She nods slowly at that.]

I'm guessing they're probably stronger than they look.

[lurings]

Like you. [ her puppy. ]

[impetere]

[She nods.]

Not exactly like me, but close enough.

[She's pretty sure Faith is not a werewolf, and Kali comes off as feline, not canine.]

[lurings]

I meant deceptive. You don't look like you could hurt a fly, much less anything bigger. [ she has seen cora do ten million pull ups, though, she knows this girl can kick ass and take names. ]

[impetere]

[She nods a bit in agreement.]

That's part of the fun, though. The look on their face when you punch them into a wall.

[... She really should not enjoy violence as much as she does.]

I've never punched anyone into a wall, so I can't really... [ she laughs, she can't really finish that sentence is what. but nor can she really empathize

with punching people into walls. :) ]

[She shrugs. She doesn't think to read much more into it mostly because she doesn't really care which part of things Abigail can empathize with.]

You never know. You may get your chance one day.

[That's mostly amused teasing.]

[ her nose scrunches. ]

I'd prefer my rifle.

[ less chance of getting hit back. ]

[She nods at that.]

Fair enough.

[lurings]

And then when they miss the wall, I can always hit them in the face with the rifle butt.

[ #teamwork. ]

[Cora smirks. Yep.]

I'm going to get a drink, want anything?

[impetere]

[She shakes her head.]
