Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

And yet I can't quit them. It was good for the five seconds it lasted. [ she looks up. ] Hi. I'm Alice. Resident newcomer and owner of trash lipstick.

Felicity. Junior knight who feels your pain. But fortunately, with our exorbitant pay checks we can take our time and afford the good stuff.

[ it's in her bra because this dress doesn't have pockets and she doesn't use a purse, so she just tags it out of her cleavage, rubbing the screen on her dress. ]
