There are two main doors at the end of the hall, and Christos heads straight towards them, bringing his rapier down in a sudden series of zigzag slices through the air as he gets close. They cut through nothing but air, which seems to satisfy him, and he tries the door, and finds it locked. Surprise.
But it doesn't take very acute ears to hear the sudden chaos exploding inside the room: screams of terror, howls of pain. Rather than waste more precious time trying to pick it, Christos simply directs a powerful kick at the door (str check 24), and with one shuddering blow, it flies open.
