Myri was nervous. Even saying that was an understatement. She'd never learned to fight any more than a few quick things to help herself flee, and even those were never formally taught. She'd learned from the road, from life. She'd learned out of necessity. But her life was different now. She was going to be tossed into dangerous situations more and more often- especially if she truly was going to be promoted to a full Knight.
She stood awkwardly in the center of the room, watching Buffy adjust the pads and wrap her hands. Amaranth padded along the far wall before curling up and watching them both. Myri fidgeted, not sure if she should be doing anything other than standing there, but she assumed Buffy would let her know if there was something to be done.
"I hardly know Fred. And Kat..." She trailed off. "Kat may not have the patience for me. I'm not certain if she realizes how little I know." She stepped forward and gave Buffy a small smile. "I trust you to show me all you can. I'll never be a warrior, and I trust that you can recognize those limits."
