Even if Buffy caused the blow to sting less, Myri could still feel the ache. It wasn't as if her own face hurt, exactly. But more that her gift tugged at her to heal that small pain, no matter how minor. It was then that she realized that while fighting, she might have more problems than her own strength.
Still, she kept quiet as Buffy adjusted her hand. She didn't speak, only nodded in understanding. Once she could see how her hand should look, she opened and closed it, getting used to pulling her fingers together in that way. Moving over towards the punching bag, Myri let out a small sigh of relief. Hitting an object, rather than her friend would make things much easier.
Striking the bag was easier, since it was meant to be hit and didn't dodge like Buffy did. She also stopped holding back and let herself throw more weight into the swings (not that she had much more to throw). She tossed a few hits out, feeling how her new hand adjustment felt. She was also mindful of Buffy's instruction to use her knuckles. It was almost like she knew what she was doing... except, not at all.
