It leaves you so lost, but you can't remember ever not feeling lost, so it's not as off-putting as you might think. You don't really know what you're missing.
Anyway, I was only on my own for about two days before I ran into a member of the Knights -- who's still a living member, actually -- and they brought me back here, to England. And I've been a Knight ever since. So, 108 years as of this summer. [She seems very nostalgic about the last part, a warm smile touching her face.
