[ Reynard woke to an eloquently written invitation slipped under his door, a folded letter explaining that Belle, his mentor Knight, would be in the library for most of the day, and to please come locate her to get acquainted at some point.
When he makes his way into the large repository of books, lined with stacks and sporting a balcony higher up, along with many arches along the back wall which lead into smaller rooms with specialized sections of books. Many tables are spread out to allow for research, and at one of these sits a petite brunette, pouring over an incredibly large tome. For the moment, she's the only one in sight. ]

He can read, certainly, he can write, but neither are things he indulges in more often than necessary. Not active enough, perhaps, not involved enough.
But here he is, looking for Belle. And even if the library had been full of people, he would have headed straight for her, trusting his nose more than his eyes.]
Sir Belle?
[He can fake manners with the best of them and so he bows his head before her, though his eyes never leave her face.]
I didn't know I was that lucky.

Sir Reynard! [ she closes the volume, marking the place carefully, and sitting up straight. ] It's a pleasure to meet you.

[He grins and hops on the table without thinking much of it, at least keeping his feet off it as he sits and reaches for her hand.]
Your name is very fitting, Sir Belle.

[Shake hands? When he can just as well kiss it?
Yeah, shaking happens, but kissing is following a moment after.]
And far less charming than yours.

It looks like you're working rather hard to make up for that. [ she politely withdraws her hand when he's finished with it ] Now, Mr. Reynard... I believe it's my duty to assist you with any questions you might have about how things are done around here.
