Some ancestor of Wynn's, I guess. It's always been 'in the family', so to speak. It began in Ireland, the brainchild of some monks, of all things, but they were most likely much more than that. People didn't used to understand Shadowkind - what they were, where they came from, so it's more likely they were using the monastery to protect themselves from the world.

That was over a thousand years ago. If you believe some of the rumors, those Knights actually knew King Arthur, and Camelot was a real place. Some of them were apparently ex-members of the court there.

You can probably guess what the rumors say about the sword, thanks to that.
