The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure if she'd seen me before Finnick when I came through the veil, she would have let me drown.

Even if that's true, she still tried to convince everyone to bail on me. In the NOVA building. I heard her do it.

You won't need to try very hard. It sort of falls into place naturally once you get started. And not just for those with a gift like mine.

[She just nods, still not certain how to feel about people actually wishing for an ability like hers. It's another moment when she needs to count her blessings for being so lucky to have found these people, this place.]

I try to help as much as I can. But there is a cost. [Only because she cares about Elena and doesn't want to glamorize her gifts.] Healing others will cause me to take on part of that pain.

[Ooo, does this mean another hug? Because Elena's all about giving hugs today, and he's getting one regardless.]

That is what this is, right? [With a sly smile.] We're going to head out into the city to celebrate at some point. Which means you have to come.

Always had a fondness for scotch. But I'm hardly feeling picky. [He eyes the other knight curiously, then he nods at the barrel.] Whatever you're having looks good.
