The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ be prepared for a rare moment of rarity, elena, because you're about to get tackle hugged by kat. she's wearing a pants suit and not a dress, but hey, she still dressed up. it counts. ] Finally!

[ (disguise 16) finnick is here, lookin' pretty classy, just doing his thang. he hasn't seen myri yet, so he's kind of casually wandering around the room hoping to spot her.

only to find his stupid mentor person instead. 8( seeing how he's only really talked to hasmed like once and he didn't seem particularly receptive to finnick's life, finnick had basically disregarded him and decided he didn't need no mentor telling him how to run his life.

Hm. [ it's a disgruntled 'hm' and it's clear that he thinks you're a cocky little pile o' sass, but he still says: ] They both had quite a bit to say regarding your dedication to the mission.

I thought of it as dedication. How much should I matter as long as the mission gets done?

I'm good at saying the right things and pretending to be something I'm not. Not a bad fighter either, although perhaps a bit out of practice at this point.
