CLOSED ♔ watch the lights go wild

♬ Sparks Fly - Taylor Swift
WHO || Finnick and Taylor Swift!!11 [Closed]
WHAT || Finnick's manager forces him to make Taylor Swift fall in love with him so she'll write a nasty song about him and increase his fame quotient. Really.
WHERE || ~The Beach~ somewhere
WHEN || Thur, March 28th, 2013.
HOW || Actionspam.

There's no business like show business.

Must be how Finnick got himself roped into this one.  Desperate to make Finnick into a platinum artist with his upcoming tour, Burt's arranged to win him a date with superstar Taylor Swift: and Finnick is under orders to woo the girl, and then break her heart so that it will specifically make headlines, make his name more of a household item, and garner a Grammy-winning song... all about him.

Whatever sells albums, and keeps NOVA from falling into the hands of Burt's eviler brother Chad, Finnick's willing to do... but in pure Burt Becksworth fashion, this is a new level of tacky and horrifying.

[She doesn't have a great feeling about this one. Not even her new overpriced "vintage" style dress from Modcloth is helping her feel confident. Having your mother for a manager means that sometimes things like arranged dates with the best of intentions turns into a knot of nerves and trying to escape paparazzi cameras on the beach for long enough to make a decent impression.

She's never heard of this guy, which is good. Maybe he's decent, unlike Jake or Harry or any of the other ones.

Maybe he'll be special and she won't have to betray her country roots to write a catchy pop number about him.

She's waiting for her date behind some big rocks on the beach, because this is one of those super romantic locations with lots of huge jagged rocks and freezing cold water. Nothing says love like nature's metaphors for all of her cold, rocky past relationships. She figures she'll be easy enough to spot, what with all the cameras nearby.
