Shortly after her squiring, Dawn receives a call from a cheerful Sir Gar, asking her to meet eher in the library, where she's taking a break from research, so that they can chat about her new role in the Knights.

When she arrives, it's easy enough to locate Gar, considering she's made a leaning tower of books that looks ready to topple at the slightest touch. Camped in a chair next to her, with a black cat curled up on her lap, is a blonde girl who looks barely (if) out of her teens, sporting a camo jacket and combat boots. Gar's chewing on a pencil as she thumbs through some pages, while the blonde plays around on her phone.

[ Who's been excited for this? Dawn. Meeting Gar at the after-party gave her the feeling they could (would) be a great match. Learning and knowledge? It's definitely up her alley.

She's familiarized herself with the library in her short time here. This world and her world look the same, but there's a lot she doesn't know and wouldn't expect. Reading helps to at least give her a base. She stops short, eying the two Knights. ] Um, hi! You did mean now, right? Cause if you didn't, I can go occupy myself until later.

[ gar looks up as the blonde girl raises an eyebrow and looks between them, sort of sizing dawn up a little. gar, in the meantime, sports a huge smile. ] Now is precisely what I meant! I'm so glad you could come.

Dawn, this is Kat - Kat was my first squire.

[ If she notices the look Kat gives her, she's putting on a good show of not seeing it. Best foot forward, don't land that foot in your mouth, etc. ]

The library is something, isn't it? And it's only one of several in the castle.

Only one? [ Someone may be a bit too excited. ] I really need to explore this place more. But then I think I'll get lost and I doubt anyone's put up any of those 'YOU ARE HERE' maps like they have at the mall.

Smart. Knowing my luck, I'd end up wondering into a part of the place I'm not supposed to be. Or walk in on something that I can't unsee later.

Funny, that's also one of the problems we face on account of shared bathrooms.

Oh, ew. [ Her nose wrinkles with that expression of disgust. ] Of course they couldn't keep it to their private rooms. No, let's do that kind of stuff in shared spaces.

Have you had a chance to look around the castle much, to see the resources we have to offer? Outside the library, that is...
