It's only when Finnick approaches that she moves, turning to face him. There's tears in her eyes when she turns to look at him. Her expression flickers between fear and confusion and, yes... still love.]
I have to... [She can't finish, but instead just grits her teeth against a strangled cry as Jade's body falls to the stage floor. Her ability tugs her towards the girl, pulling her away from the man she loves. Isn't this how it always went? Her duty tearing her from a normal life. She didn't want to leave his side, but she could feel the woman slipping into the void and she couldn't allow it.
