[ Following a long night after returning from the hospital where Jade finally passed away, there remains a lot to be said and done.

As Burt struggles to deal with the legal side of things, Francesca begins to head that way across the ocean in order to help the Knights do the same, and to help Finnick leave his celebrity life behind somehow. Violet takes the full weight of responsibility for planning the funeral into her hands, and the others continue to try to cope with what's occurred, and slowly put the pieces of information that they have together.

But many of them are still reeling from the revelations of the last few days, or carrying their own emotional burdens. Des continues to keep the truth about Jade's last words to himself as he deals with losing a woman he'd come to love, and faces up to a now uncertain future, thanks to a deal struck with Iscariot. Myri worries deeply about the potential fate of Violet, who's been considering hunting down Keijen Blade on her own, and her concern causes another small rift in her relationship with Finnick. Buffy finally reaches a point of breaking down over her conflicted feelings for Rafael, as Elena assists Archer in completing a giant fireworks bomb for reasons unknown.

This log covers the events leading up to the funeral, which means it will most likely cover a day or two or three. We will use it to make threads for any and all events occurring during this time. ]

[She smiles, knowing that it's this softer side that Spike doesn't let many people see. It was this part of him that made her know that all his snarling at others on the team could just be for show.]

Good. [She settles herself back down to rest her head on his shoulder again, content to just sit with him for now.]

[Myri glances at him, now knowing a bit more about his life before and things that the government did. She pushes away the thought, though, because they're having such a nice time. So instead, she gently untangles herself from their little love pile just long enough to grab the remote. She slips herself back, almost as if she hadn't moved at all. Handing the remote to Violet, she smiles.]

One way to find out, isn't there?

[Finnick... That is kind of sad and her expression reads that, but she stays quiet too, taking the remote with a smile before turning the television on and starting to flip rapidly through the channels. It might take a while.]

Ooh, Billy Mays! [Flip flip flip, she keeps going. Maybe she can use oxy clean on her dress...]

[ she chews on that for a moment ] We may still be able to use that, and perhaps persuade him, should the right situation arise.

I suppose for now we need to try to keep you out of the spotlight - and out of trouble. There has to be something we can leverage against him, we just have to figure out what it is.

Well, he did just find out that he's going to be a father. And he's not all that excited about it.

If this can be solved with negotiation, instead of some dramatic scheme, all the better. You not only need to be able to escape the clutches of Nova Records, but also continue your life with some sense of normalcy. [ ie no going into hiding indefinitely or faking his death ]

[wow ... talking to people. who would have guessed that would be thing. but look at the people he's working with and you'll see why no one did............] He's not as bad as the rest of the group chooses to believe. Which isn't to say he's not completely amoral — he is — but I think being able to operate on his level is what would lead to the best results. As opposed to something like threatening him within an inch of his life.
