Riddick wasn't really one to keep in touch with people... well ever really, but mostly while on a mission. Which is where he had been, for a while. Once that mission was finished though, he took some time for himself and just sort of... disappeared for a few months. No phone calls, no letters, not even a postcard. What a jerk.

After those few months of being all out of touch with everyone in the castle here he comes strolling casually through the front door, no luggage, and still looking like he gives no fucks. Which he doesn't.

Hit him with your best shot.

[Faye likes to loiter around the castle, doing basically nothing as much as possible. But as she turns the corner, she stops and raises her eyebrows at the sight of someone big and bad and oh so familiar.]

Long time, no see, Muscles. [Yeah, she's still objectifying you even after all this time.]

[ Riddick smirks at the greeting. He recognized the girl from their mission and she had been one with a personality to watch. He slows his walk as she gets closer, though it's obvious he isn't planning on stopping altogether ]

And here I thought I was the only one with something wrong with his eyes. [ See, he can try to be funny. ]

Cute. [And as he slows but doesn't stop, she just watches him walk right on by, taking in the view before shrugging and turning to follow after him. Her long limbs catch up quick enough and and falls in line with his stride.]

So I guess you changed your mind? I mean I can only figure that you bailed before. [Tact is not something Faye will ever have. Ever.]

[He glances at her as she sidles up next to him, smirk still in place. He still wasn't used to having people wonder where he was, much less care enough to keep track of how long he was gone from one place. Not to mention him actually having a place to return to.]

Wrong on the bail-out, kid. [There isn't an emphasis on the word kid but it is clear from his tone that's how he sees her. He noticed your not so subtle appreciative looks.]

Just took some time to look around. [Oh yeah, he's still just as verbose as before.]

[ well, well, well. lis'sa is at the desk securing a set of keys when he walks in, and catches his eye out of the corner of her shades.

she gives only the tiniest little hint of a smirk. ] Hmm.

[Whatever. She banged a pirate while you were gone. You don't know what you're missing, big guy. Still, she doesn't seem to take offense to it- or care at all what his thoughts are about it.]

Wow, where do I sign up for a random vacation?

[Annnd we'll say that is why Riddick didn't stop walking, as he makes his way towards the desk, his smile growing just a bit bigger.]

Lis'sa...[Her name just kind or rolls out of his mouth in his deep, rumbly voice. He finally pauses, leaning his hip against the desk. After letting her name hang there for a moment, he finally drawls out]I've been thinking I might have a new toy I'd like to work on with you.

We're supposed to sign up? Hmm. Whoops. They didn't have that on the brochure.

[He gives her a wry smile, waggling his eyebrows.]

[It draws a smirk to her face. She remembers why she liked having him around before.]

Any hints about where you were 'looking around?' [She even holds up her hands to do air quotes.]

I just went where I wanted mostly. Since I haven't seen Earth in so long, I decided to see how much I'd recognize. Which was pretty much nothing.

[Yeah, he just casually throws out the whole 'Earth' thing like it's no biggie.]

Oh? [ watch her casually disregard his long absence like it's nothing. ] An actual challenge this time?

As opposed to Mars? [Ha. Haha. She thinks she's hilarious.]

Or any of the other solar systems out there [ he says casually, and completely seriously.]

[She actually just... stops walking.]

You're not serious. [There's something almost like a question there behind the bratty teenage shell.]

[His smirk gets just a bit... smirkier. He's always responded to challenges, both subtle and not so subtle. Most especially to physical challenges like the one she was presenting, body turned slightly from his as though to offer a minimal "target" for him to approach.

Also, he really doesn't have a new toy to work on, he just wasn't about to say a simple hi. Much too mushy or something.]

I might be interested. [ she tucks the keys in her palm ] If it's not all talk.

[That actually causes him to pause, looking back at her inquiringly.]

Yep, afraid I am. I haven't been this side of the Milky Way in years. [In the FUTURE even. He sometimes forgets he is from the future.]

[Good thing Riddick made his living thinking on his toes, so he just pulls one of his fantasy toys grr baby from his sleeve.]

Heading to the Lab? [Doesn't mean he has to spill so soon.]

[He chuckles, catching on to her disbelief/the fact that they had never actually really talked in depth before.]

When I come from, space travel is as common as getting on a flight in this time. [Chew on that one a minute.]

[A few more beats of silence and then Faye reconciles it with herself to just figure that... well, the Veil does bring them from different places. She's hung out with enough elves and dark elves and Wynn's his own... thing. Lila has her crazy mind control power.

So maybe this guy was from another planet. A body builder planet, apparently.]

Uh... huh [She says finally, but that's... all she's got right now.]
