Kate lingers in the hall until it's her turn, typing away on her phone for most of it (even if Dean actually takes her up on that dare). She's given up on sitting and begun pacing by the time she's actually called in, and she jams her phone into her front pocket and heads in towards Wynn and the now-empty table. She doesn't sit, but leans her hands against the top of a chair-back as the door shuts behind her, watching Wynn.

She should probably let him begin, and it's certainly tempting, but. Nah. "I wish I could've assisted with the situation in New York this morning," she says, and though her tone is measured and polite there's a definite edge of frustration beneath; she really is counting that a failure on her part. "I learned about it too late and couldn't get across the city in time."
