Not all legends are worth aspiring to. [It isn't that Violet is cynical -- at least, she doesn't think she is cynical, but with her sketchy memory as scattered as a broken filmstrip, she may well could be. Which isn't the point. She isn't cynical, she just can't help but thinking about the dismal things. ...so maybe she is a little cynical.

Speaking of, and because apparently she's not polite enough to say hello before just launching into things -- she doesn't waste any time:] So I get that when people come through the whatever, Wedding Veil of Doom or something, they get like half their brains ripped out, but... [She huffs out a short breath of a sigh.] What does this selective memory crap encompass?
