bancroft: (| how you wanted it to be)

[You're a wizard, Harry! Thomas turns to regard Merlin, rubbing his chin.]

Well, all the stories call you a wizard, but as I said, stories get things notoriously wrong. [He walks around the statue, looking up at it with an amused expression] Wizards are students of magic. They spend most of their time holed up with musty old books, learning the art of it.

Sorcerers are a different breed. They were born to magic like a fish was born to water. It isn't something they learned, it's something that's in them. They pick up spells naturally, [He shrugs] though that means they usually can't do so many different kinds as the wizards, since they have an infinite amount of books to go choosing from.

But wizards have to study every morning in order to choose what spells they want to get prepared, which I'm sure gets old fast. Sorcerers' magic isn't planned out in advance: it's more raw than controlled.

[He glances over his shoulder] Either of these ringing a bell?
