Andrew is nervous. He nearly talked himself out of going through with this half a dozen times, today alone. He arrives in the front lobby area of the castle about 15 minutes early and that's when the pacing starts. There's a slight squeak from his shoes each time he turns to walk back the way he came, as if he's trying to wear a hole in the fancy floors. One hand toys anxiously with the keys to one of the cars in the garage that he plans to take them out in. The other keeps a tight grip on his phone, checking the time every thirty seconds.

"Last time I went out on a date was grad school. It's just... been awhile. The sort of people who become knights are pretty impressive. And I'm smart, sure, but that's about it." He shrugs, just stating a fact. "So they ignore me until they need something fixed."

He really didn't mean to end up in this pity party. So he grabs a few glasses for her to pour that champagne into.

"Basically what I'm trying to say is... thanks for giving me a chance. Even if I blow it, at least you didn't turn me down right off."

"We all have things we're good at. Mine just tend to be a little more violent in nature. I get ignored til they need someone punched."

Or seduced into cooperation. Whatever floats your boat, really. She pours the two glasses before setting down the bottle, taking one of the flutes for herself before clinking it lightly against his.

"Well, you haven't blown it at all. Quite the opposite, actually."

"Really?" Genuine surprise here. "I mean- I knew it wasn't going belly up, but..." He lets out a long sigh of relief. "Okay I'm going to try not to think about it for the rest of this. Tonight I mean. No promises on how anxious I am tomorrow." But he manages a little trace of a smile before he tips back his glass to take a deep drink.
