What seemed like a great idea for a night out took a bizarre twist when Andie's surprise birthday party at some new club called "The Silver Band" turned wild, as some kind of intrinsic magic in the place lowered all the guest's inhibitions. Certain guests found themselves led away down the labyrinthine halls of the clubs to unusual rooms full of decadent scenes, where joining in has an unintended consequence...

For they've all been whisked away by the club's real owner, revealed to be a flamboyant figure - called the Jareth. What he wants with them, and what they'll find here remains to be seen...

[As they step through the fireplace flames lick around them hungrily, snapping at their bodies but stopping just short of touching them. The fire seems to take on a personality of its own, surging towards them and only just being stopped by whatever force held it back from consuming them both. The heat intensifies exponentially, and as they look around they realize the shirtless hunk they were having their threesome with is no longer in sight.

In fact, they can no longer see each other through the flames. The longer they stand in one place the hotter the fire burns, drying their sweat even as it forms. Turning to look back the way they came would show nothing but a surging wall of flame, brighter and hotter than those around them, much too deadly to cross back through again. The flames and heat seem to be much less intense the further into the fireplace they go, and for a moment it seems they catch a glimpse of a figure disappearing ahead of them.]

[As Fiona’s song reaches its peak, the performers seem to reach theirs. The sheer acrobatic prowess and strength that everyone in the lighted circle is doing is incredible, the bending and twisting and whatever the heck that person is doing has surely never been seen before. As Fiona’s song climbs Rose is swept up in the performance high. She would catch sight of that lion from the corner of her eye. And that lion seems to be looking right at Rose, a line of saliva running from between its teeth to the ground below.

It takes first one giant predatory step forward, then another, eyes locked on her face with a low growl coming from between its jaws.

Suddenly, as Fiona hits the high note of the song, there is an explosion of fireworks all around them in every color imaginable. The ear-splitting sound would be loud enough to drown out the roar of the lion, apparent only by its gaping jaws as it leaps towards Rose, paws outstretched before it, razor sharp claws extended at the ready.]

[Mr. Handsome leads Bo behind the curtain into a room of complete and utter darkness, dropping her hand and chuckling deeply as he backs further in. His chuckle seems to echo dully around them as Brantley comes in behind Bo. As the curtain closes behind him all light is gone from the room, and they are blind to each other, or anyone or anything else that may be in here with them. The chuckle seems to hang in the air longer than it should, echoing around and getting louder, more distorted until it’s no longer the chuckle of the man who had brought Bo into the room, but distinctly someone else’s.

It cuts out after a moment, replaced with nothing but silence and the sound of their breathing. The oppressive darkness seems to weigh heavily on their skin after the chuckle is cut off from their hearing.]

[...Talk about a huge cockblock.

Bo can tell a trap when she sees one, and it's like dumping a cold bucket of water on her. Now if only she could learn how to see them coming instead of having to be smack dab in the middle of one first.]

Well, shit.

[So eloquent, too.]

[Faye doesn't fear those flames one bit, but she is a little confused why she's lost sight of both of her companions... especially-]

Andie? [She moves further into the fireplace, searching for her friend. There's a glimpse of a figure and Faye heads towards it.

Also she's just in her underwear so... There's that.]

Faye! [Andie bites her lips, looking around anxiously at the flames. They seemed so much less scary before Faye had gone away. Unlike Faye, Andie's pretty much powerless against flames. She starts to run after the figure (is it Faye?) hoping she's faster than heat.]

[Oh, shit. Please don't let it be some magical trap. This is way more suspicious than expected. Calm down, think of something. All right, light first. Brantley takes out his phone and tries to use it as some sort of mini light. (Wis 15)]

Miss Bo?

[Andie beats Faye out of the flames because speedster speed what, but the figure she was following is gone in the smoke. Faye is close on her heels, walking out of the fire right next to the other girl.

There is a sudden 'woosh' sound from behind them and both flames and fireplace are gone when they look, leaving behind nothing but a puff of smoke and some lazily falling glitter. They have stumbled into a gloomy forest, the large trees, rocks, everything seems covered in glitter and dust. The lighting through the trees is odd, not only for the fact that the last they knew it was around three in the morning, but that it looks almost like the sun is setting from what they can see through the thick branches.

They would notice they are standing on what looks like a very old, nearly hidden path that winds off through the forest away from them.

Oh, and lets not forget that both Andie and Faye are pretty nearly next to naked thanks to their escapades in one of the private rooms of The Silver Band.]

[The light from Brantleys phone casts enough of a dull glow that he can just barely make out Bo's form ahead of him. The oppressive darkness continues to press down against them from all sides, making the weak light coming from the phones' tiny screen seem precious.

There is a muted sound of dripping water from somewhere deeper in the room, and with a high enough wisdom check (dc 12) they would notice the faint scent of mildew. When Brantley calls out for Bo, his voice echoes oddly around them, not the kind of sound a room of wood and plaster would make, but rather like one built of stone.]

Seriously, do I look like a 'miss' to you?

[Only Bo would get annoyed about that in the middle of a big ass trap. Also she has darkvision, so it's possible that she can see...perfectly well. Unless it's magical darkness and she can't? LMK I GUESS.

Also her 21 wisdom check means she can definitely tell that's mildew. Ew.]

Alright, practical joke no longer funny. Let's get to the part where something tries to kill me or tells me what the hell is going on.

[As her hand moves to her boot to reach for and draw her hidden dagger.]

Sorry. [Why does everyone get angry when Brantley uses 'miss'. He is just trying to be polite. Well, at least she sounds okay.

He tries to walk toward her using the dim light as the guide.]

Yeah, it is starting to look less fun. If this is some kind of fetish thingy, I am not sure I want to participate without some explanation first.

[Yes, that dumb respond comes from him and he also doesn't realize the smell of mildew in the air, maybe the scent of Bo's voice covers it (wis nat 1). Sometime having synesthesia is not advantageous at all.]

Andie-! [Faye shouts because she saw the speedster zoom past her.] Wait up!

[The forest is more than a little creepy and she doesn't want to keep walking around alone. But then she's right next to Andie, and that's a little jarring.]

Hey. Where are we?

I... have no idea. [When Faye catches up to her, Andie grabs her arm because they're in a very creepy sparkle forest and nearly naked and whatever else is going on Faye's pretty tough and it's reassuring to stick together. Maybe she won't run ahead again.] This doesn't look like the club....

[Yeah it is definitely...not the club anymore. the normal sounds of the forest once more begin to chime in around them, a slight breeze rustling through the leaves, brushing against them and leaving both with a chill.

the breeze picks up some of the leaves laying on the forest floor, swirling them up and up towards the glittering canopy above them, then in a huge rush of wind they shoot down and out, straight as an arrow along the path at their feet, disappearing around a bend in the trees.]

[Faye watches the leaves, then looks back to Andie.]

I guess we just need to keep going. Maybe we can find that guy. [She doesn't really want to find that guy anymore. But all of this is a little too weird, even for her.]

Or, you know. The club. The castle. [It's really weird. But following the path seems like the best plan here. Or the worst one. The one most likely to get them... somewhere. She starts moving. Slowly. Well, slowly for Andie. Faye might find it brisk.]

[yeah it definitely has to be magical darkness because bo sure can't see anything other than the glow of brantley's phone. he makes it to her no problem, but with the little light there is coming from the phone it is impossible to tell how big, or small, this room is at all.

There is however a voice that speaks up from what can only be assumed is one of the corners of the room, one that sure doesn't belong to either of them.]

That light isn't goin' ter do ye a lot o' good in 'ere. [the voice doesn't sound very threatening, in fact it sounds more monotone and almost bored more than anything.]

[and so on down the path they go for quite a while, following the twists and turns of the forest as the light seems to grow just a bit dimmer. the wind picks up a bit more, cold and tickling along their mostly bare frames.

finally, as they round the next bend they would notice a tall figure standing to the side of the path leaning against one of the massive, glittering trees. a slow, wolfish grin spreads across his lips as he pushes off from the tree to stand in their path, crossing his arms as the wind billows his cloak out behind him.]

Well well, what do we have here. The birthday girl in her birthday suit. How scandalous.

[Animals and Dhampirs man... Rose would have been wise to know that something was wrong but the auto-fail on will saves means she's more concerned with dancing than the great big hulking lion that seems intent on making her its entree, right up until it leaps at her.

Thankfully, Dhampirs are as fast as they are tasty to animals (reflex save 28).]

Dammit cat! You're killing the finale. [Talking to a lion made as much sense as the rest of the night, lets be real.]

Who-? [Faye moves to stand in front of Andie by instinct. She's got magic and Andie's mostly just good at running away (or so she thinks). She's not going to let some jack ass hurt her friend on her fucking birthday.]

Who the hell are you?

[Andie can do more than run away, but she's also more inclined to run than fight most of the time. She wouldn't abandon Faye, though. She stands a little behind her, clutching Faye's arms, and stares out at the guy.]

Is... is this some kinda trippy dream thing? Did you spike our drinks?
