[Spike actively is grinding his teeth hard right now, giving Buffy a look that's filled with a whole lot less patience than he usually has for her. He, after all, did leave Thomas on the Island. He really didn't have much choice, not if he wanted himself, and more importantly, Myri, to get out of there alive. Not when he barely had a hit point to his name and even Jack was ready to get the hell out. But Buffy's very clearly saying that it wasn't the right choice. That he shouldn't have given up so easily, when all that stood between him and rescuing the rest of his party was an unstoppable fire monster.
An unstoppable fire monster that's probably still there and looking to make some fried raccoon. And they don't even know if that's the worst of it.
Rescuing Thomas right now, with no idea of where he's being held or anything even close to a plan, would be suicide, and worse, it would be pointless. He's got no problem throwing his own life away needlessly, but there are people here he cares about. Buffy included, even if she's being extra pigheaded right now.
When Myri speaks up, he nods sharply, stalking out of the woods and towards the hotel.]
Then let's go. I'm sure she's got lots to share with us.
