The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Felicity never looks as exceptionally flawless as Lila, but she still looks pretty damn good (disguise 22). That being said, since she tends to skip the ceremony and only go to the parties ... ]

Did I hear right and Whitney Houston made an appearance at the squiring ceremony?

Yes. It was so weird. [ a beat. ] And kind of hilarious. I do love it when people serenade Wynn. He deserves it. Cute dress.

[ she points out shawn because he's the only other guy and definitely not doyle. ] That one. Luckily not mine. Probably 'cause I'd kill him.

[Her head tips to the side and she watches just in time for Gus to make his way over and issue his threats of death should there be spontaneous singing again.]

Oh God, Gus is going to murder him.

Well, at least someone is. I'd hate to get blood on this dress anyway. [ ur such a good, gus. ]

I'm sure. I'm going to bet he never gets promoted, ever.

Who knows, he may actually be happier as a squire with no real responsibility.

An adorable Irish ragamauffin who knows every use of the word twat. It's beautiful. He's also harmlessly batshit, where as Deadpool is just batshit.
