WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || March 1st, 2015, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.
clearly I am not late to commenting to this everyone else was just early
And he knows a little something about relatives showing up randomly as part of the knights. For one thing, he knows that no matter how well things go, it's usually going to lead to the drink table eventually. So that's where he's waiting when Helen comes over.]
So. She remember who you are?

She remembers nearly everything. [But the part that's missing is quite large, pretty important. Just her death, that's all.] I'm uncertain if I should fill in the gaps.

She's dead. Or at least... at least that's what I thought. I can't be sure now. I've never heard of the Veil bringing someone back- have you?

I've seen a lot of things I can't explain in my day. This world pretty much beats 'em all. And considering you people can't even go to your own moon on a day trip, that's saying a lot.

Perhaps there's time distortion in the Veil, but it doesn't change the fact that I've watched my daughter die. Yet here she is...

Dead don't always stay dead around here on a good day. There are spells for that. [He can't help but sound sarcastic about spells. Just because he's seen enough with both the Force and magic to believe in this kind of superstitious nonsense doesn't mean he's capable of talking about it without a little sarcasm.] My advice? Be happy about it. The veil ain't always so kind.

[As if the Veil might realize its mistake and rip her daughter away from her again.]

As great of a man as Wynn may be, he is not all knowing. And when it comes to matters involving my daughter, I tend to be overly cautious. I'm sure you understand.

Yeah, I get that. [He doesn't know what he'd do if it turned out Jaina wasn't who he thought she was. But then again, he hadn't known her before. Hard to be disappointed when you had no preconceptions besides screaming and pooping a lot.]
Just do yourself a favor and don't over cautious your way out of a good thing. She'll know if you get too weird about it. Probably better you tell her the truth soon if you can't let the past lie.

We should introduce our girls sometime, though. I think they'd get along quite well.

We'll have to see if they sort it out on their own, then. Otherwise, I'm not at all above meddling.

[Which sounds so strange to say at this point. That's going to take some getting used to.]
