The ballroom of the hotel is a study in elegance, which isn't surprising considering who the bride is, but perhaps more surprising are the personal touches and sheer sentimentality of the room. Circular tables are scattered on the edge of the dance floor, covered with ivory tablecloths, and while there isn't a seating chart, everyone invited can find a place card with their name scrawled on it so they can claim their spot at a table. Along with the simple centerpieces and floral arrangements, each table holds a different photo of Lila and Sylar, often times selfies, and a location that has some sentimental meaning. London, Nando's, New York, Chicago, Tahiti, Andres, etc. (The tiny table for two by the dessert table is labeled Oregon.)

Once they're presented to the guests, Lila and Sylar have their first dance, to get it out of the way and so no one can ruin it. After a dinner of steak, crab stuffed sole, creamed potatoes, and late summer vegetables, the DJ starts playing dance music and probably won't stop all night if we're being honest. Castle party music this is not. There is a brief pause to cut the cake and so Lila can inhale about twelve petit fours by herself, but it's party, party, party all night long. And, oh yeah, it's an open bar.

[he makes a face like wtf as she takes his cigarette, but doesn't fight to get it back.] Probably. Especially if you leave without your brand new husband.

If I bring him back a doggie bag, he won't even care. Come on. [ yeah, that was meant to be an invitation. ]

It's going to take twenty minutes, tops, it's down the street. [ that's not an answer, but her tone is wheedling and she looks up at alex with a pout. (diplomacy 69) ] Please, I really want spring rolls.

[ambitionist]

[his will save was so bad (LOOK HE COULD'VE NAT 20'D. but he can't say no to the bride on her special day.)] Yeah, yeah, okay.

[bittersweeter]

[ she immediately beams at him once she's gotten her way. yay! ] Let's go! [ she grabs his hand and drags him off, flicking the cigarette behind her. ]

[HE'S GOING but] I wasn't done with that!

Oops. [ surprise, she doesn't sound apologetic. ] You should wear suits all the time.

[ambitionist]

I do!

Like once a month! [ it could be more, but she's choosing to only believe it's during squiring parties. ]

[nah it's pretty much only during squiring parties, and even then he only wears like a dress shirt and dark pants anyway because he's a lazy piece of shit. he's just still pretending he wears suits all the time like when he was back in new york ... a million years ago.]

I'm just saying, it's a good look. You should make it a more often look.

Yeah? I dunno, I'm kind of enjoying being low-key these days. If you ever see me heading out to a mission in a Forever Lazy or some shit I'm gonna need you to mercy kill me, though.

The one on the corner. [ it probably has a name, but she doesn't know it. ] Not the best Chinese food this side of Chinatown, but it's a steady third.

I never got to do the whole diner food after prom thing, this'll make up for my lost youth.

I didn't go to my prom, so I guess it'll be an experience for both of us.

Prom night! [ she has to pick up her dress to step over something grimy on the street, as if emphasizing how overdressed they are. ]

It's kinda weird that you're not doing this with your, uh, prom date, though ...

You can say husband, Alex, it's not going to burn your throat. [ why is she friends with so many people who are like allergic to relationships??? WHY DON'T PEOPLE WANT THIS WTF. ] You were literally there when it happened.
