[ No sooner had Gold been returned to the castle after a trying ordeal with Lila and Faye, than Wynn received a phone call alerting him to a situation occurring in the heart of London.  Having called for an emergency mission briefing, Wynn gathers together a team to deal with this threat....  ]

[ it's at that moment that the colossus finishes its descent, slamming into the lobby as some of the knights come running out, a few of them carrying bodies that may or may not be alive. everyone must make a balance check DC 20 or get knocked over this close to things, and a reflex save DC 15 vs flying debris or take 4 dmg ]

[dante gets a nat 20 balance check to stay on his feet while still carrying cordy away from that hot catastrophe, not caring if some debris comes flying at him. (ref save 14) HE JUST WANTS OTHER PEOPLE TO BE SAFE :( ]

[Ashley falls to the ground as the earth rocks beneath her (balance 15), before she's promptly battered with debris to the face (reflex crit fail). Ouch.]

[Meanwhile, Snow bursts outside, turning as soon as she does to watch with horrified eyes.]

[And then the collision happens, and she too is knocked on her ass (balance 13), though she manages to roll away from the debris (reflex 17).]

[Rushing to help Dante get Cordy clear of the building, Gwen looks back to check on the others in time for debris to come flying at her (Ref 8). The blow and the shock of the ground shaking beneath her enough to make her stagger and drop to one knee. (Bal 17)]

[ He's just barely managing to get onto his feet when the thing is finally coming down with a shake that--makes him mighty uncomfortable (balance check 14). Steve doesn't manage to stay on his feet. He also doesn't avoid that debris (reflex save 10). He's already pretty injured from before. Fuck you, Mr. Roboto. ]

[nathan is a graceful irish swan as he keeps his balance with a nat 20, but doesn't quite avoid debris flying into his face. (ref 11) probably because he stops to watch the colossus collide with the castle and ... the earth in horrified awe.]

So ... uh ... where are we going to go now?

[David is so focused on what's happening in the lobby - Abbie and Thea are both still there and he considers both of them friends - that he doesn't quite process the fact that he needs to be watching for debris hitting him too. He takes a fair amount of debris to the face (reflex save 9) and it knocks him right on his ass hard and he lands with a groan (balance crit fail).]

[Natasha, ears still ringing from the noise and unable to hear anything but that annoying ringing right now, falls to the ground (balance 11), but is cleared from a path of flying debris - just barely (reflex 16). She's wishing she were closer to Steve, though, so she could make sure he's okay.]

[ jeanne ducks aside of the debris this time (reflex save 26), but can't quite manage to keep her balance, falling to her knees as she looks on in horror. oh dear. they were too successful. ]

[ stumbling out, still dragging lydia's dead weight, the ensuing mini earthquake throws amy off her feet (balance 11) and, try as she might, she doesn't have enough time to shield the younger woman from damage, much less herself. (reflex save 8) at least lydia wasn't crushed to death by the colossus, she's going to take the win on this one. ]

[ Leaving the lobby gets Lydia another save against being around all dat death, but she didn't make it again. So she's still just here, unresponsive but not quite limp, staring hollowly back into the lobby as they get pummeled with debris. ]

[ Deryn finally came out after he was sure Abbie and Thea were coming, unfortunately, he tripped pretty quick once he was outside (balance crit fail 2) However he somehow managed to not get hit with the debris (reflex 20) ]

[Abbie is hot on Deryn's heels, close behind as they tear through the door and leave the colossus in their wake, though the resulting earthquake knocks her on her ass ( Balance 6 ). Dodging is a hell of a lot harder when you're on the ground, and despite making an effort, she gets hit by some of the flying debris ( Reflex 7 )-- though she'll take that injury over being crushed any day.]

[ it really is like the glades, when the undertaking ripped the neighborhood apart. when thea's parents ripped the glades apart. when 503 people died, including the brother she hadn't known was her brother.

roy had told her to run and she tried to talk him out of it, but she doesn't try when logan tells her to do the same thing, running as fast as her wounded leg will allow. she just barely makes it out (reflex save 18), but the sheer force of the resultant crash makes her legs crumple beneath her as she reaches the grass (balance crit fail) and a chunk of marble flies out after her, catching her in the back of the head with a nauseating crunch (reflex crit fail).

reflexively lifting her hand to the back of her head, she chokes out, ] Logan's still in there!

[when thea reminds him that logan is still in there (and apparently ... not running out with all the lil babies), nathan rolls a horrible will save and decides to have one of his ~heroic moments~. because they end so well EVERY TIME.]

I'll get him! [RUNNING BACK TOWARDS THE CASTLE NBD] Don't worry, I'm immortal!

[Looking up just in time to see Nathan be either suicidally brave or monumentally stupid, Gwen's mouth drops open words coming and then stalling on her lips.]

Shouldn't we... [But he's gone and she's not about to run after him cause she is not in fact immortal.] Oh I really hope that means what he thinks it does. [And not like, Anemic.]

[ too late, pond. but, well, it's already down isn't it? so amy is just going to abandon lydia and chase after him. ]

[David hasn't gotten to the "How to Snap Lydia Out of a Banshee Trance" portion of their training because ... he's never actually experienced it before. He's on is feet and making his way closer when Amy leaves her behind. He's willing to bet that if hauling her away from a falling colossus is enough to snap her out of it, this won't work either, but it's all he's got at the moment.

Screaming could disable more people and that's not what they need right now. But as a last resort that's what he'll do.

He places his hands on her shoulders gently, drawing vacant eyes to him as he tries to get through to her somehow.]

Lydia. Lydia!

[ It takes Steve a little bit longer than he wanted to get to his feet, but once the Colossus is down that makes getting to his feet easier. He half groans as the cuts and bruises across his body stretch and tear. Taking that much damage from the Colossus debris and the debris from the landing has definitely taken it's toll. Steve's probably a little more blood and dirt than man at this point, but he's on his feet and moving. He cradles his side. ]

Sound off! [ A head count from both groups will help once they decide where to go and what to do. He's already taken into account that Logan fell into the lobby and Nathan went after him. ] Where's Baal? [ He asks anyone who might know. ]

[ jeanne moves to help ashley to her feet, calling out to steve. ] Sirs d'Arc and Magnus are accounted for.

[ she turns her soft grey eyes to ashley, concerned. ] Let me take care of that. [ and she's just going to press her hand to ashley's wound, other hand gripping her cross and murmuring a prayer in french. a warmth flows from her hand to ashley's body and the small wound from the debris stitches itself back up. (lay on hands +4 hp)

[As Steve calls for a roll call, Gwen manages to get to her feet and dust herself off, doing a head count of her own as she mentally ticks off all of those who were in the Lobby.

Her relief at the correct number of heads is short-lived however as she refocuses on Cordelia in Dante's (arms still?!)]

How is she? [Expression grim.] We need to get her to the clerics.

[PROBABLY. he readjusts so he's holding her bride style so he can get a better look at her.] She's not bleeding out or anything, but it's still ... pretty bad. She needs a cleric, definitely. But ... [looks at the castle with the big colossus head stuck in it]

[Gwen's already checking to make sure she didn't lose her weapons in the mad dash to escape the falling debris (die say nope she's good), looking around them now to get a sense of what's happening beyond their group.]

Then we go around. [And she's already pulling one gun to cover him and Cordy.]
