after-party ♔ january

Jeux d'eau - Ravel

WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || January 22, 2016, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam

The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Willow doesn't look bad at all with her disguise of 17! It's always good to show up for these parties, to greet the new squires and get to know them. Willow finds herself drawn to one in particular.

She can just smell nerd in the air.

Actually it's probably the hair.]

Hi! Welcome to the knights! I'm Willow.

[Nerds definitely smell like candy.

She smiles back at Willow and nods her head.]

Bonnibel. A pleasure, Sir Willow. This is a very lovely castle you have here.

Bonnibel. That's a beautiful name. I don't think I've ever heard it before. [She beams, clearly excited about meeting new people who are nice and easy to talk to.]

The castle is great! Just... be careful about getting lost. It's really easy to do.

Thank you! You can call me Bonnie if you like, though. My... friends do.

[Well, the only friend back home who calls her by her first name, at least. But it seems to be the way of things around here. She glances around.]

It is pretty big, even for a castle. Mine was smaller, though I didn't have to house as many people. Not many peeps actually lived there besides me.

Your...castle? [Willow puts that one together slowly.] You have a castle?

Had. Or... will have, I suppose. [She shrugs a shoulder.] I'm fairly sure I'm from the future, though it's impossible to calculate just how far.

The...future? Oh, wow really? Future castle would mean... you're some sort of future queen?

Princess, actually. But I was the ruler. It's... different being here.

I bet... Um. So, should I call you 'your majesty' or something?

Oh, no, I'm not a princess here. Sir Bonnibel would be the more appropriate title, though I understand people mostly just forgo titles entirely here. [She shrugs. She's never really cared what people call her. She has a thousand nicknames. Usually she knows when they're talking to her.]

Yeah, it's pretty informal except for the ceremonial stuff. At least from what I've seen.
