The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope none of you are shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc!  This goes for... any time.

[Okay that was way more of a right answer than she's gotten so far tonight.

She drops the snark, but never drops the attitude.]

Ah. Yes, dragons. You'll notice rather shortly that we suffer from a rather singular fixation. I hope you won't hold it against us.

[She shrugs.]

Whatever. You guys could do worse than dragons.

[Dragons breathe fire. Fire. She's been thinking about fire a lot lately.]

So does this Claw thing mean you're a big deal around here?

Unfortunately for me, it means exactly that.

[Annnnd suddenly her smile is a little less snarky and a little more sweet.]

Doesn't seem so unfortunate to me.

Well, it does mean I have much less time for parties. So I try to take what opportunities come my way.

Well, you made it tonight. And before I showed up, I'm pretty no party was worth it.

Oh ho~. [ His face lights up with a large grin. ] Life of, are you?

[She'll work damn hard to make an impression on someone who matters. And this guys is important around this place, so right now, he matters.]

You could say that. I just like to have a good time.

What a rare coincidence. That's at the top of my list of priorities.

[That will get him a flirty smirk, because what is shame? Faye will sleep her way to the top if she has to.]

I guess this place isn't all bad.

[ He gives her a sly smirk in return. ] Not at all, once you push past the crusty exterior. You're afforded more freedom here than in almost any other place you could land.

Any tips on how to get past all that to get to the fun?

[She chews a bit at her bottom lip. Nothing makes Faye happier than being a little bad.]

[ His eyes scan across the crowd, and he nods casually in the direction of where Hasmed and Solace stand aside, line facing all over town ] King and Queen of the Buzzkill Court, right there.

I'll need your assistance on this. They're highly unlikely to believe a word that comes out of my mouth. No idea why.

[Faye does her best to casually scan the room, only briefly stopping her gaze in the direction he nods before continuing her sweep, hoping to not give away the game just yet.]

[She turns back to him with her sweetest, most innocent looking smile.]

Who could distrust this face?

Tell them you stepped out for some air and saw a figure in black attempting to scale the walls.

Is that all? [She runs a hand through her hair and adjusts her dress before turning to head over to the suckers Knights that her partner in crime pointed out.]

Excuse me? [She says, trying to look sweet and concerned all at once.]
