[This log is for any in-flight interactions on the Knight's private plane ride to the mission site. Feel free to make your own threads/threadjack, etc. The flight time is approx nine hours. Get to know your teammates, talk about the mission, ask questions, etc. etc.

[Spike stole borrowed a wii from the castle along with a few promising looking games, and he's setting it up so he and Myri can experiment with them. The setting it up part isn't hard. It's choosing a game that's tricky. Despite his reputation as an expert at all things with screens, Spike hasn't played that many video games in the several months of his remembered existence. So he's flipping through, trying to pick a game Myri might like.]

How bout 'Legend of Zelda?'

[Myri's all settled in on the couch, looking over all the boxes with strange and beautiful images on them. When he suggests a game, she just nods, but then stops and tilts her head.]

What is a Zelda?

[bigbad]

No idea. Maybe this thing? [He points at the little elf-looking character on the front of the box. (Actually it's Link.)]

[witchwoman]

Hmm. Maybe we will find out when we play.

[bigbad]

Guess we will. [He puts the game in and flops on the couch and... idk anything about Zelda but apparently Spike figures it out pretty quickly because he just got a nat 20 use computer check. So he's clearly the best ever at this game.]

[witchwoman]

[I bet I know less. I don't own a single console. Whoops, this is method rping for me.]

The music's nice. [She comments as the start screen appears.]

[bigbad]

[WE ARE THE BEST AT THIS. Or at least, Spike is. He nods, keeping his attention on the game.] Think I'm getting the hang of it. Why couldn't I be this good when I was playing Buffy in Mario Kart?

[witchwoman]

Perhaps you are more nervous when you play with her.

[She's not blind... even if she's kinda dumb about this stuff when it comes to seeing it with her and Finnick. She knows that Buffy and Spike get flustered around each other.]

[bigbad]

[He glances over at her defensively, though he's so amazing at this game he doesn't even skip a beat.]

Why would I be nervous?

[witchwoman]

[She shrugs, either not noticing his defensiveness, or not being bothered by it.]

Would you prefer to admit that she's simply better at it than you?

[bigbad]

No! She just got lucky is all.

[witchwoman]

I see. [Myri says, but there's a bit of disbelief lingering then. It's good natured, really.]

[bigbad]

I'm as confident as ever around her. More confident, even. [He's not even sure who he's trying to convince now. He pauses the game and shoves the controller out at her.] Here. You take a turn. See who's bloody nervous.

[witchwoman]

[Myri takes the controller and gets a whopping Computer Use check of 9, so this is... not going well.]

You're both very much the same, you know.

[bigbad]

Me and Buffy? [He tries not to wince too much at her horrible playing, but whatever, he doesn't judge, and not everyone can be amazing at this like him.] In some ways, I guess. We're both fighters. And, oh, the hair.

[witchwoman]

That's not what I meant. You and Buffy are- [Oh look, nat 20 on the computer use check. SHE'S GETTING THE HANG OF IT NOW]

Oh! I did it! [Insert small victory in this game here. I have no idea. She collected an item or beat a room of baddies or... something.]

[bigbad]

Nice! [He held out a hand for a high five.] Me and Buffy are what? Has she said anything about me?

[witchwoman]

[She returns his high five. This is probably the one modern thing she picks up on without a second thought now. But after, she puts the controller in her lap.]

She doesn't say much about you. But neither do you- about her, at least. She was afraid. [Of you. When she first learned what you were.] But... I think you were as well... of what we'd all think, of what it would mean.

[bigbad]

She doesn't need to be afraid of me. [He frowns, looking away from Myri and the screen.] I'd never hurt her. Even if I could.

[witchwoman]

I said she was. I don't think she is anymore. People fear the unknown. You, me, it's easy to call a thing bad simply because it's different.

But I don't understand why you pretend to dislike her.

[bigbad]

[He glances over at her, wrinkling his brow.] What do you mean? I like her fine. I don't pretend otherwise.

[witchwoman]

You always find a way to disagree with her. [She shakes her head] But she's just as bad as you are.

It's very funny to watch, actually.

[bigbad]

I only disagree with her when she's wrong. [That... just... happens to be a lot.]

[witchwoman]

[Myri just looks at him for a moment before going back to the game without saying anything.

You can just think about that for a minute, Spike.]

[bigbad]

[He's thinking. And now he's distracted thinking about Buffy and her hair and her smile and her right cross...
