[ Yesterday, members of team failboat went to the bayou hideout of the mysterious woman known only as "the Mind Master", on some intel from the captured Olean Gilbert. What they discovered was a very bizarre woman, who played mind games with them, and seemed to evince little concern for their interference. Another man, whom may have been Chad Becksworth entered, and told her that "Decker" was finished stalling and all was in readiness... The two of them fled before the Knights could get much information from either of them, and set a hideous creature to attack them: which appeared to be the result of a Frankenstein-like scientific process that sewed a human woman together with a giant snake.

The next day, another team of Knights infiltrated NOVA HQ to hack into appointment records and discover the names of those intended to meet with Chad Becksworth. Just as they downloaded the list, the scheduled meeting attendees arrived: it seemed they were meeting today, and the Dragon's Claws insisted that the younger Knights retire to the hotel, where all will be able to monitor the meeting onscreen as they spy on it and broadcast video. Knights' allies (Des, Rafael, Elena) are invited to watch as well. ]

[ dumage shrugs off her coat and folds it over a chair, obviously milking this moment for what it's worth ] I just got back from a date.

[ she lets that sink in, before adding with a smirk at des ] With Keijen Blade.

You had a chance to get a good look at him, Elena. In the lobby of NOVA? The lead singer of Heatless Passion?

[ she tosses herself down onto a couch, and pulls out a cigarette ] He was one of the artists Chad signed.

One of the ones that survived, you mean? [Spike, ever the gentleman, offers her a light.]

[ she gives spike a sly smile and accepts the light ] Keijen was never on the elevator in the first place. Decker was still waiting upstairs, and he was taking a look around.

So was he devastated by the tragedy? [He asks in a tone that says he knows damn well the bastard probably didn't give any fucks.]

It certainly didn't stop him from looking for a little company. He didn't strike me as the type to need comforting.

[She does remember, now that she thinks about it. She'd gotten a decent look...right before she'd broken that guy's wrist, whoops.]

Did you find out anything important?

[She's assuming it was a date for knight business, not pleasure.]

And then we made nice for awhile. I wasn't about to pry too far on a first date. That's the quickest way to send up caution flags.

[ cutting a sly look over at kat GURL SHE KNOW WHERE U WERE GOIN WITH DAT ] He said they've actually been working together for almost two years, in a more casual contract based out of New York. They seem to know each other quite well. Which makes him even more invaluable as a potential source.

[Spike frowns at Kat. This is what happens when he knows Dumage's backstory a little okay. Then he looks back at Dumage.]

Seems like a bloody gold mine.

And I won't stop until I strike a fortune. But it means I can't risk going on missions into NOVA and having him put me together with you all.
