The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ be prepared for a rare moment of rarity, elena, because you're about to get tackle hugged by kat. she's wearing a pants suit and not a dress, but hey, she still dressed up. it counts. ] Finally!

[She does her best to catch her and not totally get bowled over, but she still has to shift her feet in her heels to keep from falling.

She hugs back, though. Very tightly.]

[She repeats the word, in total agreement. Having friends like these is...nice.]

[ she pulls back, waving frantically to gar who's across the room to draw her that way ] Soooo, how's it feel, being inside the clubhouse?

[Elena glances in the direction that she's waving, and once she spots the target, she grins as waves too.]

Are you kidding? You did great. Regular freaking natural.

Did you see your room yet? Is it awesome?

[Her expression is both proud and a bit embarrassed.]

I did! It's perfect. It's like whoever decorated knew it was for me.

[ and gar scoots up too ] I hope you didn't think Kat was going to keep you to herself all evening.

Of course not. [She grins at Gar, happy to see her, her tone light.] I'm perfectly happy with being shared.

[ elena gets a warm hug from her as well ] Now I suppose we'll have to share you with the rest of the castle as well. They're certain to love you.

[yay hugs!]

They're stuck with me now, whether they like it or not.

[She winks.]

[She chuckles.]

Just so long as you're not rearranging anyone's face on my account.

[She perks up further.]

Agreed. I'm pretty sure if she'd seen me before Finnick when I came through the veil, she would have let me drown.

[She waves a hand in the air, changing the subject.]
