The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Hey. Wanna dance? [Stiles isn't even going to front. Dawn is looking super cute and she was cool when they talked while he was working the desk. This seems like the best course of action. Let's shake our collective groove thang.]

It's much harder to swallow when you're actually thinking about it. But Dawn manages and mentally shakes off that feeling. ]

Stiles! [ Smile. ] Of course. That totally sounds like fun.

Good. [Reaching out, he takes her hand and leads her out to the dance floor. His dance skills are much improved from his last squiring part (perform dance 15) but that might be the fact that he's actually trying (and not eating at the same time).]

You look great tonight. That dress is-- great choice.

[ She'll just let him do all the leading, because it is very nice. She's holding her own in the dance department (perform dance 16), and yes, probably because she's making an effort to look good at it. ]

Thank you! I have to admit, I still kinda use the common wardrobe when it comes to these things. There's not a whole lot of other places where I'd wear something like this. And you. You look handsome.

She pauses just long enough to make it seem like she's giving it too much thought. ] I think you're doing just fine. Honestly, if I can survive and do okay here? You definitely can.

Hey. [ That comment makes her stop cold in her tracks, brow furrowing. ] Wynn doesn't offer because he has, like, some position or quota to fill. You have something of value to offer the Knights. [ She bites her lip, hesitating before continuing. ] When I first got here, I wondered why me, too. I knew something about weapons, but wasn't strong or much of a fighter, and the only languages I know outside English are dead languages.
