The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ it has been a shitty time for the Knighthood, so pardon Wynn's obvious level of distraction. he spends a great deal of time in conversation with the Section Heads, but he's around for anyone to pull aside. ]

I'm not old enough. [ (bluff 19) look, do you know how many times people have looked at her askance because they don't believe her actual age? she looks like she's sixteen, especially rocking flip flops and munching down on maraschino cherries like they're going out of style. ]

[ he believes that. ] Who knew they robbed the recruitment cradle here. [ he's this side of one hundred seventy, age isn't really a thing for him anymore. ] Do you have a curfew?

[ Dawn figures she'll meet as many of the new faces she can before she goes back out on another mission. If she does get another mission. But even if not, then she'll be able to recognize them and talk with them here in the castle. Yes, this is the best plan.

[ It feels like it's been a while since she's been to one of these. Dawn looks fantastic tonight (nat 20+2, disguise 22), proving that she does clean up nice. She's making the rounds, talking with people she knows, meeting the new faces, stuffing her face with food and drinks. The very graceful and lovely younger Sir Summers. ]

It's much harder to swallow when you're actually thinking about it. But Dawn manages and mentally shakes off that feeling. ]

[With her disguise check of 24, T-Diddle looks fantabulous and seems generally pleased to be here. She's not so sneakily snagging finger foods and sticking them into a little baggy (sleight of hand 10) as from just about table height.
