The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[she shrugs so hard her shoulders almost hit the tips of her ears.] But for the record, humming does improve my concentration.

You're serious about that. [It's not a question. Faye just hasn't experience music magic before. She thought you were full of shit.] How the hell does that even work?

Using magic in stressful situations requires concentration. Music relaxes me and keeps me grounded in what I'm trying to do, so when I'm casting, I hum, so I can focus.

[Considering Faye is the most hot headed person ever, this is probably not a terrible technique for her to hear about.]

The other clerics in the Church of Milil taught me. I'd been trying to separate my music from my healing and they showed me I didn't have to. [It's honestly why she chose to become a Tuneservant. SINGING CLERICS YAY.]

There's really a whole church of...singing clerics? [More nose wrinkling.]

Well, no. I wouldn't think so. [She wrings her hands in front of her.] To be honest, I left the church to train on my own until I have enough experience to become a Tuneservant, so... They don't know I'm here. Yet.

[That made you mildly more interesting.]

So what do you think we can do that they can't?

Well, mostly they go out and enrich people's lives with poetry and music in the name of Milil, and that's fine, but I want... more experience. A little bit of risk. I don't wanna be just a cleric. I wanna really help people, not just heal their wounds and sing them cute little songs. I've been doing that all my life.

Hm. [Faye doesn't seem terribly impressed.] I guess we'll see if you're cut out for it.

[Paige huffs defensively and puffs out her chest a bit. She has a lot of chest to puff.] I guess we will.
