And through the power of being a good detective, he managed to hunt her down (gather information 34). He's not one to really believe in fate, but as he walks back into the castle for the first time in ages, he's a little struck by how weirdly coincidental it is that said fan club president may have connections to the Knights.
He doesn't really know what he expects her to do, honestly, but it's better than nothing, so he steps up to the first person he sees and taps them on the shoulder.] 'Scuse me. Is Alainn O'Rourke around?

[For awhile now, Des hasn't really thought about his mortality. Andres was his big concern and surviving that has made him feel... well, not so much invincible, but it's pushed the thought to the back of his mind.
At a pub he's known to frequent, it sort of hits him again, as he flashes his ID and the bartender gives him a sly look. "Got a birthday this month, do you?"
Des actually has to turn his ID around to get a better look at his own- fake, but its own way of counting the years- birthday and is suddenly struck by the realization.]
