Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Dovan is already here when you arrive.

[outside the secret room, the others can probably hear what sounds like a dying car engine followed by "WELL FINE THEN! FUCK OFF, YOU LITTLE COCKSUCKER! TWAT!" clearly another day in paradise for nathan and barry ...

suffice to say, nathan shows up in the room .05 seconds later lemurless. and yet, so cheerful. he just plants his hands on his hips and announces:]

[ aurelius hesitantly enters a few moments later, looking kind of scared. ] Er, I think your... pet has its tail trapped in the secret door.

OH, FOR FUCK'S SAKE, BARRY! GET IT TOGETHER! [on that note ... he goes to set his lemur free. barry then rockets into the room and clings to the dragon statue on the ceiling like he is sia. i guess he'll be up there ... the whole briefing .....]

Oh! [Willow goes into her pocket and pulls out a pack of gum.]

Here, little guy... [I think that's what she had in her pocket when Barry got all up in her biz before anyway. Handle animal 15??? Who knows.]

[his will save was so low. even for a lemur. barry just really likes gum, okay. and maybe other redheads bc they remind him of himself. so he ... drops down to go hang out with willow and play with his gum. meanwhile, nathan takes a seat and looks cross. LMAO.]

[ Henry walks in as Willow is passing the gum to Barry, and he's smiling and nods at the group, but when he sees the lemur, he's just...a little unsure what kind of briefing this is going to be exactly.

...lemur = team mascot...?

He takes a seat, though, folding his hands on the table. ]

[ wynn enters behind henry after a minute, closing the doors behind him ] Thank you all for coming.

[When Wynn appears, Willow sits up a little straighter like hi mister boss man. Just hanging out with this lemur. No big.]

[for the record, Paige's handle animal was 23, so she and Willow are just that lemur's new best buddies. The second Wynn comes in, however, she abandons her lemur cooing and sits up straight beside Willow, picking up her pen.] Good afternoon, sir.

[ Henry just gives Wynn a nod of acknowledgment, and a slight smile. ] Thanks for having us. [ His excitement is fairly well contained at the moment, but he's definitely looking forward to details. ]

As I'm certain you are all quite aware, those who come through the Veil identify the experience as having wandered into a bank of fog that seemed to appear out of nowhere. This fog dissipates the moment they arrive. There have been a few reported cases where entire towns or monuments have fallen through the Veil, and on occasion, those who witness their arrival claim something similar - a large amount of fog appears, and when it vanishes, in its place stands whatever has come through the Veil.

There have been reports of such a fog appearing in the Romanian countryside three days ago - what's unusual is that the fog has not dissipated - and locals who have wandered into it, have apparently never come back out.

[Paige is furiously writing all this down in pink gel pen. yep. After finishing, she frowns at her notes and then looks up.] Um. Excuse me, sir, but the Veil is only one way, right? I mean... Normally.

Yeah, everything I've read has said it's not really round trip-able.

Sir Lyons is correct - there has never been a documented case of the Veil going the other way. Which makes this mission ... certainly dangerous. I won't force of any of you to undertake it, if you'd prefer not to run the risk.

Well. I can't speak for everyone else, but if I was going to back out on the first mission that sounded dangerous, I wouldn't have wasted y'all's time joining up to begin with.

Sir Trinall will be sending along some equipment with you, to take readings of the fog bank. If this is connected to the Veil in some way, I cannot impress upon you all the importance of this mission. With the bizarre way it's been behaving these past few years, it is not impossible that we are witnessing something that has never been seen before.

Somehow I doubt that will be a concern.
