Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already.

Emma Frost. [ The introduction is as much for Brantley's benefit as Bo's. ] Don't worry, darling. I've made it my business to keep track of most.

Nice to meet you, Miss Frost. Brantley River, at your service. [He smiles as he finds a seat near them.] And as always my service to you too, Miss Dennis. Oh, I guess it is Mrs. Gatewood now, isn't it?

[Charm 39 @ Emma. Mmm, so purty.

Her gaze turns towards Brantly with a smile.]

Dennis-Gatewood, actually.

Pity. [ She notes, thoroughly charmed, but turns her attention to Brantley readily enough to make a correction. ] We're all professionals here, Sir River. Surely if you can take the time to use a title, you can use the correct one. [ They've all, after all, earned their knighthood equally: sir takes just as much time to say as miss and is an awful deal less patronizing in this context. Normally, Emma's happy to be called Miss Frost—by her students. In this context, it grates. ]

[Branley's smile widens. So loving the tension between Emma and Bo, even if he is not included in it.] Oh...My apologies to you, Sir Frost. I didn't mean to offend you. I'll make sure to address you properly onward.

[Felicity enters, just as those exchanges are happening and she just politely and very silently doesn't say a thing. She's been the person who comes in at the awkward moment more than a few times in her life. Waiting it out is always the smartest thing.

Still when it seems like they're done, she just pops a hand up from where they'd been clasped in front of herself - a quick wave.]

Felicity Smoak. [Oliver should hopefully be there shortly - he's never been a prompt person.]

[ eventually ollie shows up ok, at which point wynn follows, to commence the briefing ] Thank you all for being here today.

[telepathy]

Well, you did call us.

[ Like what were you expecting, homie. ]

[ uh emma, wynn hires people like nathan and deadpool, sometimes the fact that y'all show up in one place when called is a miracle. either way he plunges forward. ] Before the destruction of the Shadowkind prison facility and laboratory on Andres Isle, we copied over all files in the computers there, and the Hoard has been going through them ever since. We've found something that seems worth further investigating: paperwork that indicates shipments of scientific equipment that Sarandis' scientists were using to experiment on Shadowkind were being supplied by Total Logistics Control, a shell corporation recently acquired by another company who we've been monitoring closely for years due to still unsubstantiated claims of Shadowkind rights violations.

That company is Luthorcorp, and they're based out of Metropolis, Kansas. We'd like to find out what Mr. Luthor himself knows about this, and consider past dealings that we've had with the company, we think it may be best to play this with our cards on the table. I'd like for you to speak to him directly about this before we proceed in any other direction.

[telepathy]

I beg your pardon? [ Even Emma's knowledge pop culture check of 10 is still enough to know the Luthor name. Her gaze narrows, and she leans in. ] You think our purposes are best served walking into Lex Luthor's office to levy unsubstantiated accusations of Shadowkind rights violations against him?

If you're trying to have us killed, Sir, there are cleaner ways.

[fistpump]

[Felicity thinks it's a bit odd that the evil company's acronym is TLC, because when dealing with rights violations Tender Loving Care doesn't really fit in those lines. Neither does Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but the Learning Channel hasn't done much learning in years.

Distracted. Right.

Felicity hears the remark about getting them killed, but she's not sure that walking in the front door and asking questions would merit that. Maybe if they ask the questions with an arsenal of weapons behind them - but that probably could happen.]

Do you think he'd give us access to his personal records? I mean, if we approach him directly and promptly, he might not have time to cover anything up. [Not that Felicity is concerned about that - if she has direct access, she's pretty sure she can find anything.]

[wynn]

I'm not certain making heavy handed accusations will be the most diplomatic approach. But you may bring it to his attention as if we were hoping to make him aware of the fact that his recent acquisition may be bringing trouble to his doorstep. After all, [ he spreads both hands simply ] we're certainly only looking to help.

[fixyourproblem]

[Finally, a diplomatic mission. Brantley had enough with combat mission. Punching around people who are bigger than him and crabs who can bite him to death is not in his taste. Is this why there are so may hot ladies in this mission?]

With a good diplomatic approach, I'm sure we can finish this mission smoothly. If he really is a businessman, he would avoid a bad PR of having people being murdered in front of his work desk.

[Felicity raises her hand -- because, well, she's seen people get murdered in front of work desks. More than once. Well, not seen first-hand, but security footage...]

That isn't actually a risk, is it? I wouldn't underestimate any businessman -- but does he have any rumors of murder floating around him?

You don't get as far in the business world as he has without being willing to weed a few lawns. [ Emma's explanation is cool. She kind of respects that, tbh. ] Luthor's has a reputation for being as cutthroat as he is successful.

[wynn]

There are rumors about how far he'll go to that end, but nothing that's ever been substantiated. Obviously, it's best to proceed with great caution.

[succubestie]

[Bo glances at Brantley.]

Business man or no, power tends to make people think they're untouchable.

[Sometimes, for some intents and purposes, they are. But she so does love to make them see that they aren't.

Oh, you were hoping for diplomacy? Sending Bo is probably a bad idea....OH WELL.]

Right, of course.

[What is caution? Bo does not know this word.]

[telepathy]

Should we confirm his involvement, how would you recommend we proceed?

[wynn]

Any evidence discovered needs to be duplicated and sent to us before anything else. With that done, you're free to confront Luthor using the evidence, whatever it takes to stop him from spreading Sarandis' methods - within reason, of course.

[fistpump]

[Felicity nods.]

If he's operating on a closed system I'll need direct access, but if we're going there -- [Which they are... brilliant job, Felicity.] Then that shouldn't be hard.

If I know what I'm looking for it shouldn't take me too long to get the files, but if it's a needle in a haystack - it's going to take a bit longer to find that needle.

[telepathy]

I should have no trouble buying you some time.

[ She gets to her feet. ] We can discuss the specifics on the plane over. [ Sigh. ] I loathe Kansas.

[succubestie]

Distractions are my specialty, too.

[Felicity nods, being fine with other people handling distractions.]

[Brantley silently acknowledges the plan. He can be really persuasive to all kinds of people.]

Tomorrow. Get rested up and equipped tonight, and you'll head out first thing in the morning. Sir Frost will be leading this mission.

[telepathy]

We'll see to it that the proliferation of Sarandis' methods is expeditiously contained, Sir. Thank you.
