The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She nods. She doesn't want to really explain how she'd prefer chains over deep cleansing breaths.]

Okay. That sounds useful.

[It's more than deep cleansing breaths. It's about regaining control, or at least that's how Cora's always seen it. Showing that you aren't more powerful than it.]

The next full moon is on the fifth. We can start then? I usually meet up with Liam in the woods.

[And if all else fails, Mellie can sit on them.]

[It makes her a bit wary to agree to do this without Stiles there, but maybe this would be good for her. Shifting with a pack... of sorts.]

Okay. [She says it, but she doesn't sound 100% on board.]

[Stiles can come if he wants. He just has to stay behind the bear, so he doesn't get himself killed. And while she knows it's not the most ringing endorsement, at least it's better than Lan who's not willing to try at all.]

We'll just ... try it. And if it's not something you're comfortable with, I know where we can find some chains.

[Maybe if Lan watches her teach Malia, then he'll let him teach him too.]

Is there anything you want to know about the Knights?

[Malia thinks about it for a moment.]

Is there something I should be asking about? Most of it was explained to me, but if they lied -- or forgot to tell me something, I wouldn't know anyway.

[Cora honestly has no idea. She had the benefit of being saved by the knights and getting to stick around and learn how they worked before she actually got squired. She has no idea what someone should ask who's diving in head first.]

Did they explain the sects and stuff? Or did you get a tour?

[She could do a tour. She's very good at tours.]

[animalistic]

A tour would be good. [She's pretty sure she got the very basic "Here's the kitchen. Here's your room" tour.]

[Tour she can do. There are lots of different places to go in the castle, and it's definitely better than hanging out at the party.]
